9 days (02/16/17) until Lower Body Lift - advise?
Stella S replied to MxKitty's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
In addition you need procedure codes and such. It may be worth the 5 to 10 percent off what is recovered to have a medical biller handle this Unless you plan this as your sit and heal mission! Stella -
9 days (02/16/17) until Lower Body Lift - advise?
Stella S replied to MxKitty's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
The hospital and anesthesiologist may handle own billing. Surgeon fees would then be all to go after. Stella -
I have heard of people having intermittent surgeries. Consult your team and maybe a couple PS. It seems this would be covered by insurance which would be sweet. PS that specialize in after WeightLoss would have the more answers than I. In the meantime congratulations on your weight-loss take care of yourself physically and emotionally. Stella

9 days (02/16/17) until Lower Body Lift - advise?
Stella S replied to MxKitty's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Here are my quick thoughts- I slept in a regular recliner for weeks. I would have had no clue how the rented recliner even at $150 SA a month would've gotten up into my living quarters - but I had somebody with me 24 seven for the first 10 days I already owned the commode chair but did not use it. I did use a shower chair. Different types of protein - I am still over 100 g a day and lots of different types of fluids. I thought popsicle should be made out of prune juice. Extra gauze. My PS stated I could use pantiliners around the incision in Lou of Goss. They have the added bonus of already being adhesive. I ordered extra compression garments. And subsequently ordered a size down. I went into the surgery at 120 pounds. Went up to about 126 and I'm back down almost 6 weeks later. Like you I was super scared I spent one night in the hospital but already had all my postop medication filled at home. The drive home was hard. I was doubled over on two pillows - I was lucky that it was short. The paint was no joke but at this point I could not be happier. The jiggle is gone!!!! I did have a bum reconstruction and breast reconstruction during the same LBL surgery. Best to you - let us know how it goes!!! Stella -
Question for the ladies:
Stella S replied to shortyp79's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was a 38 G went to a 30 F but lost all density. Ditto my bum. Now I have perky 30 b - c with a plum bum to match after PS returning the hour glass - just smaller! Stella -
New to this whole thing!
Stella S replied to mo.rgan.jean.vsg's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Be excited! Read and try many options. Information! As for the bathroom - I urinated more but limited dairy to reduce the other - no easy task but their are enough soy protein sources available. Also I kept my medical team at the top of my text list ! Stella -
We are close timelines. I had LBL with full TT. Breast and bum reconstruction with my own tissue I am having fun!! Stella

So I am 5 weeks out of surgery in USA. I am thrilled with results. I had multiple surgeries and needed a full hospital. There are qualified and all around the word. In my search I met some here in USA that would have not let touch me. Enjoy!!!! Stella

How did you/are you paying for plastic surgery?
Stella S replied to JealousMuch's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
TI did not think of that. My issue is skin and more skin. I still need an upper arm lift and a inner thigh lift. My plan was to just wait a year until it was in the bank and my office is recovered from me taking most of January off. I do not want to have to wear compression gear during the summer months. What order did you have your procedures or did you space them out at all? I am rethinking the arm lift until the spring. Stella -

How did you/are you paying for plastic surgery?
Stella S replied to JealousMuch's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I self paid for sleeve 18 k. I have a lower body left wit bum using my own tissue. This included TT with muscle repair. I had breast deconstruction and reconstruction with my own tissue. I did not want to replace implants each 6 or 8 years. It was 23 k. Both procedures I went with MD and facilities that were comfortable for me. I did get cheaper quotes but wanted to be confident. This body has been through a lot. ☺ Stella -
It is ok for somethings to remain private. I thought about it for 6 years. Now 22 months since sleeved and I feel better than ever. The decision like your body is yours. I think I will always find any surgery scary. For me remaining overweight had more complications than benefits. Best to you - be true to yourself

Clear liquid protein
Stella S replied to mexicosleever88's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The vitamin store is everywhere. I like most flavors over ice. Enjoy. -
In the end you have to feel the decision is right. Feeling positive about the doctor is essential to your success. It is an investment in the quality of life Invest time and or money - both really.

I was in the same place I did not have the BNI or coexisting conditions. I self paid because I saw diabetes and heart condition in my future unless I lost. I never dreamed how much of a positive impact it would have and do not regret a single penny. I chose to have it done in the states and purchased a secondary insurance policy in case there were complications. Stella

Need guidance transitioning out of LB jeans. Who is comparable?
Stella S replied to Heather I's topic in The Gals' Room
I also like Citizen of the Humanity and True Religion but also tend to get high and stuff from consignment. It really is a first world problem to drop size after size after size ☺ -
Psychological evaluation
Stella S replied to billpride's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
It is hard to be judged. The exam Is to Also evaluate if you can stick to a plan? Are your goals realistic? I did not have the psychological exam as I self paid but oddly perform them routinely in my practice. Stella -
