Awkward alert lol!!! What exercises get rid of muffin tops and arm pit fat?
Stella S replied to xoxococojay's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Get rid of the fat and replace it with muscle. For many skin has lost its elastic. So short of having it cut build muscle!!! Maybe Val muscles and triceps. I never knew so many push up variations -
I am on the return following plastics. I concur yoga ad Polaris are not for the weak. I saw my Hubbie gain huge respect within about 20 minutes!! He is a weight room rat. LOL. I keep 8 and 10 lbs hand weights at my desk, do squats and push ups, elliptical and yoga. Now after sitting on my new bum for seven weeks I am feeling like I am at square one. But I have started at square one before. LOL Some help insurance programs offer coaches to check in with once a week. Best to you!

Referrals for Surgeons San Diego or TJ?
Stella S replied to Muñekita's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
What procedures are you looking to have? I have heard some good things about some doctors in the Texas area as well. -
After several months of being at goal then having plastic surgery But know monthly cycle It arrived Saturday morning Like making up for lost time it is still here. Before at most for my adult life I was a two day girl I thought I was done with that part of my life. Has this happened to others after they reached their goal weight?

I'm glad that you were able to have your kids. I'm thinking that the break was likely a result of heavy exercise and dieting. I could take this all better without the emotional turmoil of being menstrual! [emoji16]

Anyone tried stomach taping or bandaging?
Stella S replied to Lala'sthinFtW's topic in The Gals' Room
First let me congratulate you on your wedding and finding the dress. Second I agree with compression and taping Wow Texas is hot even in April. Third I do believe there's beauty advice specific to the weight-loss community. No concern I'm going to more than one place for advice and ideas. There are some very specific psychological aspects to the post weight loss patient. No worries about transitioning to look in the other places for beauty advice no harm in asking here. Do what works for you. Best to you. -
Hello how everyone doing
Stella S replied to bridgesrhonda's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am 22 months out. High 225 now 122. Sugar is my slippery slope. Trying to cut out sugars again - that frozen Outshine juice pop is now a daily thing. Sugar in my coffee. I never had cravings like this. My strategy is to drink a glass of water and wait an hour. Congrats on the journey and success -
Try taking body measurements

Foul smelling burps and vomit (feces)
Stella S replied to Hector N Yolanda Asta's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am sorry this is happening. Get a second opinion before going back under the knife. Always more minds on something is good. -
Let the MD know. Best to you. Sounds hard to be around your family right now.

Natural Hair and Bariatric Surgery
Stella S replied to Sleeve1stFitNext's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My thick hair thinned a little - not so anyone would notice. My hair became much more delicate and splits It has been almost 2 years since my surgery I have seen no change since I hit goal. Not a huge thing though I am looking for a new style -
I have had read that as well and find it to be true. It has been said that today Maryland Monroe would now be between a 0 and 8 but was size US 12 or UK 16 I so wish women's clothes were size by inches or centimeters like men options.

My style and budget do not match. I pick up consignment mostly. Exercise clothing I generally buy at discount stores. TJMAX One really cool thing is often my size 0 or 2 is on the clearance rack. Nordstrom rack and Brooks Brothers are on my go to if I need to pick it up for a work event. I still do not feel I am itty bitty! I laughed at the reference to Cold water creek. The clearance at Eastern Mountain sports is also one of my go to spots.

My BMI was below 20 and fat percentage about 15 when I went in This meant it really was a skin thing. I did lose a couple miles NS stretch marks [emoji18]

I met with several PS for consultations Not one charged for the consult. They varied dramatically. All stated the need to be at goal as losing or gaining weight after surgery changes the results. I had a LBL with bum and breast reconstruction I am female -7 weeks ago. My PS will not combine inner thighs and arms with the bundle I had as the skin tightening would pull different directions increasing the rest of the wound separation deterioration . I was in hospital in USA for 1 night and took 24 days off from work including weekends. No insurance coverage and I did not even try. I know my policy well. The bundle was 23 k in all. Thighs and arms will be another day another dime [emoji16]. The surgery lasted about 11 hours. The pain was intense. I am feeling 90 percent back to self. Know what you want and your goals. I chose this because it targeted areas of discomfort. You can find before and after pictures on many websites. Also in my consults I reviewed before and after pictures of each surgeon. I wanted specifically to know how many after weight-loss patients the surgeon had operated on. Also many people have posted before and after here and on the website for real self. Best of luck to you Stella

I am having a pity party.. bring your own drinks...
Stella S replied to _Kate_'s topic in Rants & Raves
I had a spot on my right bum At the T on my right breast Then any spot I saw for 3 days was it with ointment. I measured each. OZD? We both hit our bodies with multiple surgeries. From what read wound separation is common. I was not prepared and had a Freak out party! This is what my PS would not do my inner thigh in the bundle. Let us know how your follow up went Kate. Stella S replied to _Kate_'s topic in Rants & Raves
Sometimes a pity party is in order. Sorry about the pup - they are great. Wound stuff seems to go with plastics. Take care of yourself. Agree hospitals are full of germs. Did they put on IV infection? Stella -
Did you have any blood clots or get one during plastics?
Stella S replied to Be_pretty_epic's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Sorry on train! Subset of patients. I chose to make sure I was at a full hospital with every specialist on staff because though I am healthy I have some extra hardware that I need. Still my team was experienced and cleared me with little concern. Stella -

Stella S replied to Be_pretty_epic's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I went into surgery with no blood disorder. Still I had those ow up leg balloons while in hospital and was on blood thinning shots for 2 weeks. I would ask PS their experience in operating with patients with your condition as well as how many complications they experienced in the subset of Stoney's. Stella -
