How long did you wait before plastics?
Stella S replied to mousecat88's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had round 1 of PS 21 months after sleeve. -
Agreed. That is more calories than I observe More sugar and more carbs. I had to stop eating anywhere other than the table. Stop eating at my desk. Just cause the excess is gone does not mean I do not gain weight from simply looking at food!! Return to what you were doing 6 months ago. Log food. Check in with supports. If you do not have any well you gotta get one or check in with us. For me I eat 1400 to maintain. Anything else and I gain. Best and please update.

At my goal weight a week away from 7 months post-op
Stella S replied to AlteredReality's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Bailouts! Yes 4 years out and do not feel thin. Why I do feel is healthy. I met goal rapidly and then lost 15 more lbs When I set my goal of 140 I thought no way would I reach it. The process was unreal. People said stop about 150 but in the end we are all after health and comfort. Agree celebrate. -
Irritating and super frustrating. Good for you on holding the office to the after care plan. I felt like once the moneymaking was done - the surgery there was very little follow up despite the promises. Also I now wonder about my clinic statistics as I had 3 visits post op in 2015. Just where did they get six months 12 months three years data? Medicine in the USA remains for profit.

How is the healing?

Volunteer somewhere - join a running or biking group. Big single scene here in DC!

Just a thought but are you taking vitamins? Back to basics - protien and water. I am with you - boring. What about a 5 day break from carbs sugar caffeine and alcohol? Also for me logging is a must. Keep us posted.

How long did it take you to get your surgeries?
Stella S replied to WeGettingThere's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Less than 21 days. Private pay in 2015 -
It seems in this hyper-aroused world persons increasing struggle with both filtering stimuli and social norms. Was at a graduation where nachos and chili dogs were sold... for the audience. A person completes medical school and graduates and the audience can not go 2 hours without food and electronics??!! Too much stimulation leads to an over active nervous system.

Rationalize the slide? Agree follow the doctors plan. Then embrace the slide off the plan - celebrate and own a piece of chocolate or whatever your thing is. Label it as not a scientifically backed shock but instead a 1 time exception which may happen to us himperfect humans. 🥰

I am in between. Some rare times it is what I want but other moments I add a splash of juice or anything!
-
It is lousy to feel that you are going through this alone.
-
I love that you are aware that today you like your reflection. A body to value. I try to ask what my body needs - more times than not it is a glass of water. Absolutely my water consumption as the first thing that tends to slide.

You did this once and can again. It was you not the WLS that lost it first. You can return. Clean the fridge out. Cut out any booze Nd take one day or hour or minute at a time.

Also if I could have made a fist I may have given PS a punch!

Thanks for update. Yes helpless I remember and have split the procedures. Care for yourself and follow your doc instructions.

Qs to Ask Self When Considering Plastic Surgery
Stella S replied to CarmenP's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Agree with Rick Fluffy Julie Journey and all. I use a PS locally who specializes in weight loss folks. Researched the heck out of PS - many PS and hospitals. It hurts - really bad. Also down time from work is a consideration - I can say taking 3 to 5 weeks off from work twice has dented any build of sick time. I just booked what hope is my third and final round. My body will have loose skin in spots and scars but my skin will fit rather than be a few sizes too big. It is also the best thing I did physically not including WLS. An aside is research correlates sustained weight loss positively with individuals who pursue plastics. All that and not one mention as to cost. 🤠 -
You all have style and make me smile.

Liposuction, breast reductions before sleeve
Stella S replied to ElizabethHurlbutt's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Oh best to you. I also have a pronounced tail bone... I would rather deal with it rather than shortened boned. -
What order should the plastics be done?
Stella S replied to GotProlactinoma's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Recovery was rough. My PS will not do arms with breasts and will not do inner thighs with LBL. Yes. Yess tum and rump all - lower body lift. I had lips of outer thighs and some fat transferredto my rump So I did the LBL with BL - breast lift. Had my arms done this Sept. Next inner thighs! -
Sending positive thoughts you. Hang in there

Just ran across this thread. As always thanks for reminding me I am not alone! The panic at a small gain is at times off the charts. Somehow we move on...

Thanks Thank you!
