Stella S replied to ms.sss's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Definitely the pepper balances and keeps it from being boring and bland. Let me know if you are a fan 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻! I have found myself in a food rut so I am loving this thread. -
🍽️ 🍽️ What's on the Menu? 🍽️ 🍽️

Sunday 8:00 half cup cottage cheese with blueberries and black pepper 10:00 black coffee with coconut milk 1:30 1 cup egg scramble with random green veggies and half slice Ezekiel sesame bread 06:30 4 oz salmon baked and green salad with lemon juice 1/3 cup blackberries 11:00 protein shake - 30 carbs 105 protein 875 calories. I found myself a bit angry a peach has 14 carbs - ok more than a bit angry. Off of the 120 goal of protein my MD set to heal surgical wounds so my goal today is 120 protein and stay away from peaches. -
One great thing is we’ve all managed this question in a way that has hopefully been most comfortable for us. A recent conversation with my now boss regarding a surgery was simply - should we worry? I appreciate the balance of concern and respect to privacy that was displayed. It was not in regards to WLS but is worth mentioning. Many years out and my husband and five other people know Plastics are my husband and a handful of friends. Private is not synonymous with a secret or shame.

Pretending it is Saturday - walked in the park close to my house. Longest walk since surgury in June. Still under MD not to sweat and no exercise. It ‘twas slow. Missing New England cooler weather and hikes. Fun fact: all DC residents are 10 minute walk from a park. Lucky my close park is big and green!!!

Ms.sss, this procedure was a vertical thigh Lift. It has kicked my sitting side. Had my arms done in 2018 and it was not tough and they are great. Had LBL and BL in December 2016. Plastics are tough. I am still in the suffering stage though - glad I did first 2 and may eventually get there with this procedure. PM me any questions as not to clutter this feed. I too can not commit to a book. I Read a bunch of John Gottnan work earlier searching for a patient. It reminded me how very much a person wants connection and not to ignore others.

You lost it once and know what to do. Get a therapist, check out thread on head work, then drop the sugar and carbs. Also I am with you - a bit of regain to lose It happens for numerous reasons. Get the confidence and support to move on. Not easy but you are worth it. 😉 Be kind to yourself.

Frustr8 - Love tough red head heads! I am not so sure about your doctor. Not that I am known for breaking dancing doctors legs but I can learn new skills. Today

It can be hard. I added in clear protein like isopure. Also a protein powder favored by vegans. With Fluffy on fruits - I gain if I eat even a serving a day. Steamed shrimp remain my go to protein Mix it up and let yourself get really hungry then protein. Best to you.

Hello August. Last night was a new moon which means new beginnings. My goal is to drop 6 lbs. to 130 lbs. I gained a little over 10 pounds following plastics and think this is totally doable as also swelling will decrease. I am 5’5” and weigh 136.4 as of this morn. I was sleeved in 2015 and lost about 105. Goal is-125 lbs. I was maintaining until June PS. Fun fact: I held a job as a shadow dancer in a nightclub.

Yes. I am totally with you I’m glad to be done too. I think you will be absolutely fine getting out about on your own after A day or so. I clumped surgeries together so I cannot speak to the exact procedure you are having. Once you’re off narcotics for the pain should be good to go - do you know if they’re planning on leaving and drains? Take it easy and make sure you have everything you need to set up before the procedure so you can focus ony take it easy and make sure you have everything you need set up before the procedure so you can focus on healing. Remember to up protein a couple weeks prior to procedure to promote healing. Also you may want to consider using scar tape rather than a scar cream for the first. You’re out of your compression gear Best and keep us updated.

The stomachs skin is pretty thick so scars ought to fade and be flatter. My stomachs scars from LBL and BL in 2016 are hard to find. Arms from 2018 are more visible as skin is thinner. Thigh lift this Jun - 6 weeks and scars are flat Obviously my body is one tight road map! LOL.

Lies to tell people about what surgery I am having

Not sure what your work physical is and the discretion of that process but it is something to consider I have a health physical in house but it would not leak Other offices would show no mercy. Best to you. -
Agree. I usually target 70 G protein and 25 g carbs with a calorie goal of 1100. If I follow this I maintain. A guide for me - i agree though hit protein with a low carb menu without being kedo strict Best to you I will be in the need to lose a few pounds when I am off my post surgery complication diet.
-
Emma - it is easy to slide back into those lifetime habits after hitting goal. Bones hurt? Go to your doctor and get a blood panel ASAP Get kidney and liver functions Get honest and measure and log every single thing you eat and drink. Focus on getting your water in. This for me is the only way. Best to you.

Benign tumor removed from stomachs Wall. Question- do you have a work physical? -
Sounds normal to me. Agree. They will adjust. It sounds like support and validation will have to come from another source. Hugs- it is lousy when our people do not cheer efforts for health.

Lymphatic Massage - Bilateral vertical Thigh Lift.
Stella S replied to Stella S's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
It helped early on. Did not change the subsequent complications but helped with swelling and pain. I knew the complication rate was as high as 75 percent but thought I was going to b in that 25 percent. Thankful my PS was available and close for follow ups! -
Yes give us an update how are things going

You guys are terrific so much knowledge. Big smiles! I am healing after some surgical complications and I’m averaging about 120 each day as per my MD. He also states 30 is a max in a meal - so of course this means I wake up in the middle of the night and have a protein shake with a handful of antibiotics! Fun times
