Oh brother, Earl found me!!!!! Mine was a cucumber! Somehow, someway it missed being chewed and here came Earl! Yes, I was out to dinner, and scared my kids half to death since I spent 38 mins of hell locked in the bathroom! Only to leave with Earl, had to stop 4 times on the way home to throw up slim! FInally home threw up so hard, I thought I was going to pass out!....YES, I have learned the lesson not to eat while talking with your kids! Whew! Thank GOD its over! Hi, I'd love to chat with you! I was banded Feb. 7th, 2008 in Mexicali by Dr. Aceves. Im kinda frustrated since I havent lost any weight since I got back in Feb. Ive had 3 fills and feel very tight but dont seem to be losing weight. Drives me crazy! And I sure cant find any support here in the States. I love my band, but want the weight to fall off! I was banded on Feb 7th, 2008 and have only lost 20 lbs!!!! Very frusrtrating! Ive had 2 fills of 3ccs each in my 9 cc band.....I keep yo-yoing!!!!

i have a 9 cc band and Ive had 2 fills....Im at 6ccs now....my question is, i can eat mushies but they hurt when they go down. Fish, tuna, berries are okay. SHould I be able to feel this pass through? I thought it was suppose to stay in the pouch and make me feel full, which I dont. I had my last fill the first week of April. I havent lost any weight since I had the surgery in Feb....Any suggestions?

If you need the number or email address for them, PM me and I will send it to you...They are 2 ladies that handle mostly people who have had surgery in MX. They are really good. I have went to them for my last 2 fills and having a 3rd the end of the month when they come over. They charge $150.00.

Not sure if this helps but theres a good fill dr that comes to Spokane the end of this month, I know its not in MT but just thought Id pass the info along in case....

I too am frustrated also....I was banded in Feb. and lost 18 pounds right off the bat....Ive had 2 fills since and havent lost a pound since...I am getting a 3rd fill the end of May. I have noticed that I can feel food when it falls thru the band. So I must not be there yet....I now have 6cc's in a 9cc band. I can eat all day if I wanted to...I only feel restrictions in the mornings....but evening I can eat the house down if I wanted to. Very Very maddening!!!!!!

I thought it was supposed to stay in the pouch too, so does this mean I need another fill??? I just dont ever get full....but then I cant get meat down so I eat alot of fish and tuna....What gives???

I too am struggling....I gained 3 lbs this week....I have had 2 fills in the last month....I have a 9cc band and have had 2 fills of 3ccs each....after the 1st one nothing, the 2nd one finally had restriction to the point that I cant eat meat....but I eat alot of tuna and fish....heres my question, should I be able to feel my food pass through the band? when I eat I feel every bite fall through....I thought it was suppose to stay in the pouch and make me feel full, which I dont, ever! Should I get another fill??? Im so confused....I only lost weight right after my surgery in Feb and now Im gaining......HELP!!!!

I too was banded by Dr. A and I have nothing but great things to say about him and my experience! I was taken care of better than the hospitals here in the states....The hospital is much cleaner. And the care I got was over the top! They actually care and sit with you and LISTEN and answer all your questions! You couldnt ask for a better Dr. if you ask me!!!!!

I am on my 2nd fill, I have a 9cc band and got 3cc's on the first one. I had no restriction at all so I got a 2nd fill 1 week later of 3cc's more and now i fianlly have it....But, I cant get solids down....Ive only lost 17 pounds since Feb. 7th....Im not sure why Im not losing weight but it must have something to do with the solids not going through....Who knows.....

Oops!, Sorry I misread that....I did have port pain after surgery.....It was bad at first and I couldnt lay on that side to sleep....but it soon faded....I was banded in Feb so it hasnt been all that long....When they push on it to fill the port it is tender....but no pain....

I had no port pain after my fill...none what so ever....In fact I didnt even feel the needle when they did the fill....

I have the realize band....No problems so far....I got banded on the 7th of feb, 2008 and had my 1st fill last Friday. I got 3 cc's and still have no restrictions so I called my doctor and I am getting another 2 cc's tomorrow....Im really excited and cant wait to get tighter! I have a 9cc band....If you have any questions please feel free to ask....

I got my 1st fill last friday and i have no restriction at all....my band is a 9cc and i got 3ss fill....going back friday again for another fill....1 week later....dr said maybe another 2cc's...im so frustrated, i want to feel full and still dont have that feeling....any thoughts???

I was banded on Feb. 7th, 2008 and just had my 1st fill yesterday. Got 3cc's and as of now still have no restrictions in my 9 cc band. I was in and out of the dr.s offc in 10 mins. My port is fine and nothing feels any different....Dr. said wait 10 days and if still no restriction return for another 2 cc's....hoping to find my "sweet spot" soon....

..... I too used Belite and had a great experience! They were very informative and were with me all the way including the after care....I was banded by Dr. Aceves Feb. 7th, 2008 and he was a wonderful doctor. If I had to do it all over again I would still use belite ....Like I said, they were wonderful to me...

Hi Kathy, I am from Rathdrum and I thought I would say HI...I got banded 02/07/08!!!! Getting my 1st fill next Friday!!! Im so excited cause I have no restriction at this point! Im ready to get this journey on the road!!! Good luck!!!!

Okay, gotta question,.....can we take meds without crushing them up? I am 4 weeks post op and can eat anything, but was wondering if I really need to crush my meds since they are little pills anyway...Does anyone know the answer to this? I hate the taste of the meds, its just horrible.

I had my Lap Band surgery on Feb. 7th with Dr. Aceves, He was a wonderful doctor and I have nothing but great things to say about him and his staff....They gave me excellent care!
