  1. Happy 46th Birthday LuvMyKd!

  2. I am planning on going to a seminar with Dr. Katkhouda from USC Medical Clinic, in Los Angeles on 1/26/08. Did he do anyone's surgery here?

    Type Ii Diabetes

SuzyGayle, I am so happy for you. I can't believe how soon after banding the need for meds is reduced. I take 2 meds for diabetes, 2 for high blood pressure, 1 for cholesterol, 1 thyroid and paxil for panic attacks. The thought of not having to rely on all of these meds to live normal is a wonderful thing. Good luck.

Thank you all for your input. I can't imagine having the RNY, seems too drastic. I am planning on going to a seminar, just not sure which one yet. I love this site. I feel Home.

    Type Ii Diabetes

Hi, I have just recently started researching lapband and was wondering how the banding has affected those of you with type II diabetes. I have been on pills for type II for about 5 years now.
  6. Hi... My name is Lisa and I am just starting to research the lap band. I have been overweight/obese all of my life and fighting it everyday. My two biggest fears of the banding have been 1) am I "cheating" at getting healthy? and 2)what if it doesn't work for me, then what? I have really enjoyed reading the posts and it has given me a sort of peace. I will be looking for a Dr. in the Southern California area if anyone has good referrals. Thanks for being here.
