Wondering how April 2015 sleevers are doing ?
AmyFromCincy replied to Dar61's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've only lost 38 pounds. My own fault. Didn't do what I was suppose to do. Became a carb junkie again. Was consuming 2000+ calories a day at times. This week I have been trying to get back to doing the right thing. Not doing so bad. 9 weeks until my 1 year surgiversary so I want to lose more by then obviously. -
I had my surgery on 4/2/15. Pre surgery diet I was 260, surgery day I was 248. Im now 210. Yes, 38 whopping pounds in 9 months (but really ive been at 210 since october). The thing is that the people I know all act like ive done something astounding. Theyre not looking at the numbers and comparing it to what I should have done. I have exercised zilch and graze on junk because "food"food is yuck and heavy. I feel like I have thrown my chance away.

The truth is, I failed
AmyFromCincy replied to AmyFromCincy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you, Sajijoma. Day two of reset. Yesterday sucked but I was 99% successful. At bed time I was starving and couldn't sleep so I had a few bites of shredded cheese and that did the trick. I think I get confused about when to drink Water. So I have some Protein shake and wait 30 minutes before I drink anything? but then don't drink 30 mins before "eating" again? -

Has anyone had an improvement in acne?
AmyFromCincy replied to curlychic32's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had no change either way. Still a problem. Actually I went to the derm yesterday and he prescribed antibiotic, cream, gel, and a washing regimen. Said no peanuts, shellfish, caffeine, butter, or high fat dairy. -
What, specifically, caused you to become obese?
AmyFromCincy replied to careya123's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I developed a preoccupation with food early on. Enough was never enough. There were times I would eat from sun up to sun down and throw up at the end of the day because my stomach couldn't take it any more. -

So I started the 5 day reset today. Having atkins shakes which I think are okay content wise. Thank you everyone for all of your input. -

Thank you all for commenting and giving me suggestions and encouragement. I think I will look into finding a therapist. I guess I wasn't really ready but tried to convince myself that I was and that everything would work out. -

"You need to stop your self imposed pity party and take control of this situation...starting right this minute." yes, you are absolutely right. as for the "yucky" food comment...I just mean meals just seem so heavy and nauseating. And forget about Protein shakes. Right from jump those things grossed me out. -
82! Wow!

Im 5'3" and down to 213, about what you were pre surgery. It IS big. Yes you were very heavy. Thats a lot of extra weight on a small frame. And if we were going to lose it gradually we would have done so with all our previous weight loss attempts. Not buying this. -
