Hi I'm 5 days post op from lap band that failed after 5 yrs to a gastric sleeve. So far so good. Pain post surgery was less then excepted worse was lap gas pain from co2 but once I got moving that was better then worse now is clear liquids can't wait to have full liquids. But my advice if u can get off narcotics as soon as u can and get moving quicker recovery... I'm a rn and found it just helped but I understand not all can do that...anyway good luck and thanks for reading and the support. Love reading all the posts

Hi new to this 5 days post op Lap band to sleeve ...not as bad as I thought it would be ...so far worse was co2 pressure after surgery and stuck in a bed in the pacu waiting for a bed once in the regular room and able to move pain went away... I'm a rn and I don't use and narcotics and just used toradol iv and was able to recover so much quicker and zofran iv...slight headache...my advice move as soon as u can and gets off the narcotics if u can...went in at 216 and so far dropping a pound every day...so I'm looking forward to see how the sleeve works... Lap band did fine till a year ago then started failing and weight started back on. So looking forward to hopefully less of me. Thanks for listening. I'm alone and could use support. Even though my family is supportive but live in other states... Best of luck to everyone
