  1. Well, my first consultation is tomorrow! My surgon only lists The Gastric Sleeve not the Bypass on his website so I'm not sure what options I will have!

      Unless you have GERD/reflux problems, GO WITH THE SLEEVE! You'll be full with very little food, no "stuck" feeling, no surgical connections (therefore, safer), you can still absorb all the vitamins and minerals you take in. That translates to not having problems with vitamin deficiencies 10 yrs. down the road and being less expensive for doctor followups to check for vitamin deficiencies. It WORKS-- you can lose just as much with the sleeve as the bypass.

      I do have very severe reflux problems. That is what is really motivating me to get WLS. It has become so bad that even though I have taken Omeprazole 40mg twice a day for years, sleep with my head elevated, a oid many foods my vocal cords now have blood blisters on them causes by reflux. These hemmohorragic polyps are not responding to treatment.
