Just an opinion here but it sounds to me like you lack self confidence. I think most here would tell you the same story. A story about how they've lost and regained and lost and regained. That is why we're doing this, right? You have to decide that the BS stops now....and grab the reigns. We are at war with own bodies. It helps if you have a supporter...someone to confide in push you when you need it. The fact that you are doing this means you recognize that you need this tool in order to be successful. Just follow the plan and exercise. The weight will come off and you'll be eating in moderation. WE got this!!

Anyone heard from Spicy? I've been hoping she is okay.

Jill I am on my last day of the pre-op diet. I have been averaging between 640 to 800 cals on any given day. I am down a little over 20lbs. MyFirnessPal flips out on me with what my intake is 1200, BUT that is for a normal 2lbs a week type plan.

Me too March 23rd! I just did the shakes today and added some baby spinach in my ninja. It wasn't bad at all.

@Stacy 458 My weight was up 5 pounds after I ate that cheeseburger and fries last Sat. How is that even humanly possible? I was down 1 pound this morning. I basically lost a week's progress. Oh well...not going to dwell...especially since I'm on day 2 of this liquid diet. Hey have you or anyone reading this tried those new Swanson chicken broths that are infused? Like the Mexican Tortilla or Chinese Hot n Sour? I was just wondering...all these protein shakes are so sweet. Something savory would break it up a bit. Anyway...I saw you were starting your pre op. Yay! Good luck...stay positive!!

Day one of my pre-op diet. It wasn't so bad. Were you all looking at your daily calories while you were on the pre-op? I was at almost 700 calories today. That seems high to me..

Oh, okay. I'm not familiar with that kind. It's tasty? Lots of Protein? I love spicy food!

A bit of a rant. I realize that this is "my" battle with food and that I can't expect everyone in my life to not eat in front of me, but for the past two evenings, my husband has brought home fast food and ate it in front of me. I normally make something for him but I didn't the past couple of days. This shit just gets real when you are sitting there with your water and there's the smell of French fries wafting through the air. If I complain, he will tell me that "I chose this", so I don't dare say a word. It just makes me feel like a freak because I can't eat like others do. I survived without raiding the fridge. I just went online and started looking the success stories. I can't wait for the weather to warm up because I am going to start going for walks when this happens again. But really??? French fries?!?! in front of a carb addict!! That's my crack. Okay, *taking a deep breath*...rant over. Boys and girls, we are at war with our own minds. I am not going to let it win. I have just over 3 weeks until my surgery date and I have lost over 30 lbs. in just over a month. I am declaring war on McDonald's french fries!

March 23rd here. I still haven't found a surgery buddy.

Yeah...The Stairclimber and I are going to be getting extremely close for sure!!

I'ig fan of the taste of the Syntrax protein powders too. I am drinking the Caribbean Cooler now which I personally love. It tastes like a pina colada sort of. I happen to love the flavor of coconut so I enjoy it. I t I had the fuzzy navel. I am going to order some more. I wonder how they stack up against some of the other protein powders nutritionally.

I feel unsupported... Can I do this by myself?

I am new too. Welcome!!! Have you had your vsg yet? My date is March 23rd. Woohoo!!! -
Jamie, I just looked at your gallery and we are built so similar...I'm just a much larger version of course. You have an hourglass shape. It looks great on you!! Oh and I saw that Ariel Ortiz was your surgeon?? He's going to do my surgery next month! I would love to find out about your experience!!! I am going alone and don't know what all to take with me and you were there. Wow...so awesome. If you ever have time...please share a little with me.

Jamie, First off, thanks for the positive comment about my stomach. I have a strange build for sure. I have been scouring the internet for specific exercises for my legs because they are incredibly large and covered with bulging fat deposits. Like you said...maybe as I lose weight overall, some is bound to come off there too. I will likely require some liposuction. I am just thankful for the opportunity to have this surgery!! I weighed in at 283 this morning, which is a 15 pound loss from the Feb 1st when I started my preop diet. 4 weeks to go till surgery.

Gaining weight back

Look at you...gorgeous! What is your boyfriend's perspective on weight loss surgery? I'm just curious because my husband is completely against it. Of course I'm still going to do it though. -
Yeah, 100 pounds down but 100 to go.
Jill_Icardi replied to screwthescale's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@@screwthescale I am so terribly sorry about your loss. I admire the courage that it must take you to go through this journey. I lost my mother a year ago and I have spent the past year sitting in a recliner getting fatter and feeling sorry for myself. I've decided to have weight loss surgery though my insurance doesn't pay for it. My husband is completely against it; he thinks it's weak. I'm going ahead though and doing what I feel is necessary so that get back into the world. -
Yeah, 100 pounds down but 100 to go.
