i love lost! it's probably my favorite show ever. i don't understand how people can get sick of it. it's sooooo good. i'm so mad we're only gonna get 8 episodes this season thanks to the writer strike. last night's episode was awsome. sure no questions were answered but it was still really great. don't wanna talk about it though incase someone hasn't seen it yet. i'm gonna try to go spoiler free this season, a first for me.

he was on a tv show called fantasy island. he played a guy named tatu and just ran around yelling "da plane! da plane!" it was a really bad show.
-
my favorite part is probably when there's the mirror effect. who encouraged this guy to sing? thanks for sharing!

I totally agree with you about the wait and see approach. But I don't know of any doctors that are "vultures" waiting to claim some organs. That is unethical and highly unlikely. Such actions would probably result in a withdrawl of a medical liscence. I can't even imagine the number of malpractice suits would come out of that.

If I was only being kept alive by a machine then I hope they would pull the plug. I understand that some people might disagree with that and that's ok. But I just don't think that being alive on a machine is living at all. It's not fare to family and friends to delay the inevitable.

I live in the Poconos area in PA. It kinda sucks a whole bunch here. My real home is in Sunset Beach, NC though.

I just don't see what the big deal is of taking someone's organs if they're dead. They won't need them. There are plenty of people that could use kidneys, livers, retinas, etc. When I go I hope they clean me out. It just seems silly to me to let stuff like that go to waste. As for organ selling, sure, why not? People sell plasma, sperm, and eggs, so why not kidneys. You only need one. If I needed the money I'd sell my kidney before I sold my eggs but I can't. And it's stupid.

SUPERBOWL!!! Who's gonna win?
trish5713 replied to smatyas's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
let's go g-men! i've waited all season (and pretty much my whole life) to see them get to the super bowl and win. they're gonna win and then i will do a dance of joy when tom brady cries. -

Blast from the past, the youtube music thread...

You're very welcome! They've supposedly got a new album coming out soon and I'm tres tres excited -
I did feel a little bad for Favre last night, not too much though. If it hadn't been the Giants playing last night I would've been pulling for him. But since the Gaints are amazing and all the feeling pasted quickly. It was so great to get phone calls from all my friends (mostly eagles fans...man i need some new friends) mumbling crongratulations. Anyone else almost throw up when Tynes had to come back out on the field that last time?
-
I have gotten about 4 hours of sleep in the past 24 hours. Why? Cause the freaking Giants are in the Super Bowl!!!! I'm so excited. Everybody can go ahead and pick the Pats to win cause that's what everyone's been doing all year. Well it's rematch time and the Giants are gonna destroy them! Ok, I'll admit it won't be total destruction but I'm calling a win right now. Tom Brady will probably fall over from the weight of his giant head durring NE's first position anyway. I believe in Eli! Anyone else?

When I saw her I saidm "Great. Now the whole country is gonna think Allentown (the city/town I go to school in) is full of crazy people!" I mean she thought the song Allentown was by Bon Jovi! Cripes. Then the next day I found out she graduated from a high school in the same school district as the school I graduated in. I promise, we're not crazy here.

"Boob Guy" - What is the deal with men and big breasts?
trish5713 replied to TexasRose's topic in The Lounge
Being in the postion of "big boobs" myself, I've given this whole thing some thought. I figure it's the whole "I don't have those and now I'm really curious" thing with guys. I've asked some guy friends about it and the boob men were basically clueless about the magnetism but some were breastfed and some weren't. Yeah, I was really thorough. I wanted to know what the big deal is! Am I on the right track here guys or not at all? And I just thought this quote from The Office would fit well here: Dwight Schrute: "The purse girl hits everything on my checklist: creamy skin, straight teeth, curly hair, amazing breasts. Not for me... for my children. The Schrutes produce very thirsty babies." -
i thought i was the only one! as soon as i can, i'm buying a pair of killer knee high boots with the skinny heel. i've always always always wanted a pair and never could. next winter i'll be rockin the heck out of those things

thanks so sooo much canadagirl33! i was having a hard time picturing what makes up the protein i need. hopefully i'll be able to get it all in with food alone, only using the shakes when i need to. i'm so busy with classes right now that i usually don't get to snack or eat a complete lunch so that's probably where the shakes will come in. anywho, thanks for putting the menu thing up there, it helps alot

has anyone read any good books about lap banding? i want to be like an expert on this stuff and love to read anyway (books are just better than reading a web page). i've seen a few on amazon and in stores but was just wondering if any are worth while. thanks

HELP!! What do you think? Insurance ???
trish5713 replied to 88Shelly88's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
sounds like it should be covered. have you talked to your insurance people on the phone? i tried reading my plan and almost went crosseyed so i just called them. they were actually really helpful -
wow thanks everyone! can't wait to go shopping for some powdered protein. right now i'm trying the carnation instant breakfast sugar-free stuff as a midmorning thing to help me keep my cals down and my protein up. only 90 cals plus the milk (makes it like 120 or something) so not too bad.

thanks everyone for the suggestions. i'll deffinately check them out! i got this one from my library and some of the recepies look ok but it killed me how there were instructions for each thing were "lap band, weeks 1-4: puree". yummm, nothin like a chicken milkshake:smellie:
