I am a mom of three beautiful children and happily married.  I have always been heavy, since I was a teenager.  My weight caused major self esteem issues and I tried every single diet craze out there with no luck.  I love to eat.  I am currently at my highest weight I have ever been and the scale continues to creep up.
 
Of course, everyone hears about someone that has had surgery so I went to an informational session and support group to get the information I needed to make an informed decision.  The surgical team and supports at Eastern Maine Medical Center have been amazing.  
 
I joined this to help with my journey, the highs and the lows.  I am just beginning and cannot wait to get started!  I am hoping I qualify for bypass or the sleeve.  Good luck to everyone on their journey as well!
