Gas pain and nausea

I'm the same way. Most people on here say they prefer room temperature water. I wonder why.... -

Congrats on your surgery date!! I know the anticipation is building and driving you kinda crazy lol and it will increase as your date approaches. You are a lot stronger than I was when I was in your position. I had no family support before I had the procedure. Your determination is dope. Before you know it, it will be over and done.

Not easy at all!!! You go girl!

When will it get better?

Thank you!!! I really hope so... -
I'm so tired of not being able to eat. Well, I can eat but I hate it. I'm still pretty new to this lifestyle so I'm trying to figure out what I can tolerate. It's weird because I get hungry but the thought of eating is such a turn off. I'm miserable and at times I imagine reversing the procedure. However, I remember why I had it. I had several co morbidities, a super high bmi and was in pain. I couldn't walk a store. I needed the dreaded mobile cart. I don't need that now and have been taken off all of my meds. 6 weeks out I'm down 49 pounds. But I'm so unhappy with how I feel. How can I get my meals in when the thought of eating and the thought of the awful feeling of the food getting stuck is enough to scare me from eating? Even with the progress I've made, I'm still full of regret. If I could reverse it, I think I would. Any advice would be welcomed.

Thank you guys sooooo much!!! You have given me such encouragement and wisdom. I have so much other stuff going on. I didn't realize how dependent I was on food. Wow! While I still struggle with regret I know I made the right decision. -
Gas pain and nausea

Really?! I used to only drink room temperature water now. It has to be absolutely ice cold. Like, I freeze it and drink as it melts -

Completely sucks yet very normal. Be sure to walk and sip. Hydration is very important. Sorry sweetie, it will pass. -

It's a hell of a ride. Look, there's really nothing we can say to prepare you for your personal experience. Just remember why you are doing it. I recorded videos of myself reminding me why I had the surgery so I can watch it for encouragement afterward. And, it helps. Nothing could have prepared me for the first month. It was rough. But if I did it, anyone can you will do great. Just stay focused. -
Being nervous is completely normal. It's harder without the support. But you have to remember that it's your life. No one has to live in your body but you. No one in my family supported my surgery and my mother tirelessly fought up until the morning of the procedure. That was the first time in my life that I said to hell with everyone and put myself first. I'm sure that your husband will love the results. I'm not talking about cosmetically. I mean, you will be able to do more with your family and more importantly your attitude will completely change for the better. You will be happier. I would cautiously proceed. But I would proceed. You don't want to push it back and a year from now be full of regret. You're at the finish line girl!!! Go ahead and cross ????

It can't be just me

I agree!!!! Eating is an exhausting process...remember being excited about meals?? The anticipation? Lol then the guilt... Coupled with health issues is why we can all relate and had the surgery. I soooooo miss drinking fast. Nothing like getting that thirst instantly quenched. -
Hey yall I have a question. Do some of you who recently had the surgery find yourselves hating food? Eating has become such a chore. I never know what to expect when I eat. Maybe it goes down smooth, maybe it doesn't. Who is to say? I find myself getting overwhelmed on days like today when I have to force myself to eat. One thing that I loathe about the surgery is drinking. I hate sipping my ice cold water. But damn if I won't sip Lolol you pay if you don't sip. How does water hurt? ???? anyway, I hope I'm not alone with the struggle with food. It feels like I had to dump my fiancé and now we are trying to be friends which hardly ever works lol. Thoughts?
