Its taking a toll on me
Jovie62 replied to anna9/15's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This surgery is a HUGE adjustment mentally and physically, at least for me it is. I too was having a lot of anxiety and fear. Still do just not as much. Basically we had to give up every addiction over night. I used food for so many reasons other than nutrition. Just keep using your available support and resources and remember to keep LOVING YOURSELF! You're s strong person who made a decision to better yourself. Be proud of that and breathe. In time it will get better. Take care -

I'm with you! We know it's going to pass and we'll start losing again, but it's so frustrating! I eat like a bird and the scale doesn't budge. Oh well we just need to keep on keeping on! -

Don't be too hard on yourself and please don't cry. There are alot of emotional eaters on this forum and we all know what your going through. Just keep moving forward and good luck with your surgery -
Sending goid thoughts and prayers your way. Skepchick is right. Cancer sucks!!

Buy another one. Not having one will drive you crazy! Besides one of the main reasons we all had this surgery was to lose weight and be healthy.

Chico's is nice. And they have good sales. Classy, washes well and the Travelers collection washes and dries beautifully

What the heck? That's crazy -
Please be careful eating things you shouldn't. Part of the post op process is so your stomach can heal. You do not want a leak or any other complications. That could be very serious. Congratulations on your surgery!

Hi. After reading your post I bought the book "when Food is Love". I had loving supportive parents, but this book really brings up my feelings and relationship I have with food. I too started to want or craved foods after about 7 months and it scared me to death! The feeling I still have regarding eating food is so much deeper then nutritional value and I continue to realize that this is a life long journey. I love love the book. Thank you!

Approved - but Should I Go through with it?

Babbs is right for me also. The benefit definitely out weighed the risk. I don't know what your health or weightloss history is, but for me this was the best decision I've made. Its totally normal to be second guessing your decision, surgery is always a scary thought. Good luck!
