    Aetna H. M. O. So Cal - Advice

I did home sleep study. Look up pre-morbidity diseases. How close pre-diabetes? Seems like your bmi too low and your not quite high enough to make it maybe

    Aetna H. M. O. So Cal - Advice

Aetna approved me because of CPAP, no high blood pressure, but my BMI was 41 CPAP and High blood pressure I hope should do it. Lots of joint pain? Do either of you have degenerative joints? Most obese people do.

    February 17th anyone?

Daily routine still a moving target, this is a huge change and it takes planning!! Use myfitnesspal because you can record Protein etc to keep on track I have kids although their teens and that makes it hard because food everywhere and hey cook, buy and have it everywhere, I bring them places etc. you don't have the control you can have on a 3 year old. But, mental preparedness is most important. You're body does not allow cheating! Physically no room and causes discomfort/pain. Being proud of change because you cut back won't matter, you could make yourself sick, that's the issue. For a while things are eliminated period. You can do it!!! ????

    February 17th anyone?

I got gas x strips but not sure they helped. I had such bad spasms from hernia in my esophagus that gas wasn't hardly noticed lol. Gas will bother you with constipation though, have milk of magnesia or something like that ready.

Water Yes pain, I had a hernia repair at same time and caused spasms. You'll have pain but not as bad as expected. I only took pain meds for 4 days and then only liquid Tylenol and Motrin because narcotics make you tired and you can sleep too much and not get fluids in. I cut down bigger pills or crush, but have got them down. They gave me pill crusher in the hospital. Everyone is different. I just started puréed food yesterday so just getting past liquids. A little discomfort there when I went a little to fast.

I meant canceled if they think you can't stay away from those things because not ready mentally. Read posts and it happens. You shouldn't get much beforehand because you don't know if you'll be able to eat it. I feel sick with broth and don't use it at all! Water-sip constantly. I haven't had a problem. I've been lucky to be able to get it down pretty easily and a little more quickly than I anticipated. Helps that shakes and broth count towards fluids.

Why do you have to order broth and powder? Are you in remote location?

    February 17th anyone?

You can get your surgery canceled for that. You don't know me and I don't mean to lecture but if you can't stay away from that you'll get sick later. I only took a week off completely part-time 2nd week am only 15 days post op and I feel pretty good. Mental readiness is the most important part. If you need to talk let me know, maybe I can help you feel better about a few things now that I've just experienced it. I was terrified, but it's not as bad as you think. It's been more exciting! ????already feeling changes that will only get better.

    February 17th anyone?

Muscle "milk" misleading. Read about it, it contains no milk, just milk Proteins. Dr.'s have different guidelines and diets of course, but generally not to different, because surgeries the same. At least ask, you'd probably like it. Good luck!

Have you tried the muscle milk knockout chocolate pro series 32 G Protein shake. It's pretty thick, chocolate and I think tastes good. $7.98 at Walmart for 4 of them. They're helping me a lot right now at 12 days post op

    February 17th anyone?

Hi everyone, thanks for all the well wishes/messages Wednesday am, it was so awesome to pick up my phone and see over a dozen sleevers reaching out. I am only just responding because although its been a great few days in some ways, I've also had a few not so great things. First the positive. Surgery done, a success and I am so excited and pumped that I got it done!!! Through the pain the minor complications etc, I am smiling big loving every minute of it. As for complication, I ended up having a hiatal hernia that they fixed of course, but it has caused severe spasms beneath my sternum area/esophagus that then radiates into other areas. That increased my meds and has made taking in fluids a little more difficult, but it will pass soon and who cares, I finally have my sleeve!!! I will be going home in about 5 hours and am excited about it.

    February 17th anyone?

Smye- do you start a strict 2week post op on Friday or Saturday, or is your Dr. more lenient there, seems across the board. Stick to it hard the first 4 days and then it all of a sudden becomes pretty easy to stick to. Feb. 12th, awesome! I'm today, I'll answer questions if you get them to help with post-op since I'll be a post-opper in less than 8 hours, if that a word lol.

    February 17th anyone?

Thank you for remembering!!!! I got so busy the last few days that I've read some posts but am behind replying. I can't believe I'm down to single digit numbers in hours! Great news still...I am feeling no reservations and am not allowing my mind to drift to any negative thoughts. I'm at peace, and feel ready for this. ????

Calories, carbs, Protein, all is automatically counted. It's very easy. Go to goals page, put in numbers even if you aren't focused on them, it will give you a guideline. Every time you put food in it shows and keeps track of nutritional content. I've lost 24lbs since I started using it 11 weeks ago because I use it to determine what I should eat before I eat it. It's a great tool!
