  1. I had my band removed two months ago and I'm RAVENOUS...the hungry beast was unleased and I've completely outgown my "fat clothes" by another size ( I'm scheduled for the sleeve in less than a month and I can't wait to leash up the hungry monster. The band worked great for me...lost 50 lbs. then it slipped during pregnancy four years ago and it was downhill from there. I'm actually 25 lbs heavier than my lap band surgery day 7 years ago, I have a lot of work to do; Looking forward to getting help with regaining some control with the eatting.
  2. this is too funny... in your case, these people don't deserve your confidence... Best of luck in your journey
  3. I had a "secret lap band" in 2008 and it was REALLY hard not telling people. only my parents and husband knew of the surgery. The fact that everybody knows me for my hefty eating habits made me self conscious during holidays and dinners with friends and family. This made me try to be discrete and I would eat more than I should have with did not help me in the long run. My band slipped during my last pregnancy (less than 1 year post-op) and I've had reflux issues and weight gain. Now I weigh more than I did at 9 months pregnant and I'm preparing for a revision surgery to get the sleeve after the band comes out. I don't want to hide this surgery, I don't want to come up with excuses for not eating, not being hungry and actually even eating more than I should. Who cares what people say, EVEN IF IT YOUR MOTHER, we are adults and this is a medical decision for our health.

    Looking for a coffee substitute

I'm a huge coffee drinker, even though I know I shouldn't with my lap band (that is defective and due to be coming out soon). Is coffee something that is an absolute must to give up or can it be limited to one cup per day? I'm suffering over this but I just need to hear the truth so I can mentally prepare for a "forever change"
