    The 1 lb Dance

Yep I'm going threw the same thing. I have even been exercising more but same results. All I have to say is GRRR. Hope it does not last.
  2. Wow. I feel for you. I have had 3 PICC Lines, became allergic to the adhesives they use so they stitched it to my arm. They ripped. Then had two NG tubes that clogged. I was glad to be free of tubes. This was with the RNY. I hope things get better for you soon.
  3. That is so great. It so much easier and better when you have a doctor like that.
  4. So was it a good visit

  9. So my ng tube clogged on Friday. We called my doctor yesterday and asked if I could just have it removed. Got a call today to have it removed on Thursday. Yay. I'm so excited. Plus I weighed myself today and weighed 238. When I started this journey I was 299 on day of surgery I was 279. I started January 2014 I'm so happy.

You face looks like a donut

I'm sorry you have had to go through that. Some part of you may still love him but you and your children deserve more. Love yourself, I know that's hard cause I have had to learn to love myself. I'm lucky to have found a man that loves me fat skinny or anywhere in between. He gets mad at me when I put myself down. I hope and pray that you find a man who can love you unconditionally. No matter what you look like.

    What is the downside?

Watching other people eat whatever they want in front of me. Like pizza for my kids or wings it gets my sad face on. I asked my 9 year old for a bite, she crossed her arms and told me no it could hurt you. Then she told on me to her dad my husband. Lol. I'm watched like a hawk. Someone is always making sure I don't mess up. I guess they don't want to see me with more problems.
  15. Two gowns but brought clean clothes to go home in I also brought my own slippers to walk the halls. I too had a shower before going home gave me the energy to get home.
  16. Ok so I had my surgery September 10,2014. I have had to have PICC lines and am now on h feeding tube that goes through my nose. Very uncomfortable. Well I have been pushing myself to drink and eat. It was very painful before. Yesterday I got in 64 ounces and all my protein. I have eaten solids without getting sick or a whole lot of pain. I am hoping next week I can get this tube out.

    My big Victory

I had stricture and an ulcer that covered most of my pouch. After awhile my liver started to inflame.

Life will get better. I have faith in that. It's just the days are long and I want to get healthy again. Along with the surgery and complications I also have a paralyzed vocal chord so lost my voice for awhile. Had surgery on that too.
  21. Hi I am 4 months out. I had the RNY. I do not regret it most days but today I am. I did fine on liquids but ended up with a stricture, a huge ulcer that covered most of my pouch. I am unable to keep anything down. I had iv fluids for awhile but the Ivs kept blowing my veins. So they put in a PICC Line in first one clogged second one had a allergic reaction to the tape they used. Third one I had three sets of sutures rip out of my skin and now I have a ng tube going through my nose down my throat all the way to my small intestine. That is how I get my nutrition. Drinking and eating hurt and I have not been able to take my vitamins so my hair is starting to fall out in clumps. I don't fully regret the surgery I just wish I could have less complications. This is my second ng tube because the first got clogged. I have child sized nasal passages and they used adult sized stuff not happy. In a lot of pain. I am in Idaho, Boise area. ????

I have been in the er and radiology department so many times they are getting to know me by site. Yes the Ivs had lots of sugar and calories especially when you don't have strength or energy to move. I gained weight back. Surgery date I weighed 279 I am now 242. I think that's 36lbs. I started my journey with pre op appointments last January I started at 299.7lbs.
