I was 2 weeks post op yesterday and am a total of 24 lbs down! 8 lb loss before the surgery the rest after :-) I am ready to be in the next food phase as I am super bored with liquids. I see the surgeon tomorrow for my first post op. Visit. And the nut, so hopefully I can begin soft foods. I'm excited for eggs! I also can't wait to really begin to exercise, just doing as much walking as I can right now. Still a little sore in places but excited for when I can kick it into high gear and really get on the weight loss train!

Just heard from my surgeons office got my insurance approval!!!!! All set to get my surgery on may 11th. Except that I got a stupid cold :-( it better go away in the next week!! I do not wanna have to reschedule!

Having my bypass on May 11th! Anyone else have the same date or close to that? I'm super anxious, excited and a bit nervous....never had surgery before!

You will just have to crush them then. That's what I will have to do too.

I know that after surgery I have to crush or take all of my pills in liquid form. Not Sure if you mean after or before. But as far as what to take I don't know yet either. I'm assuming I will get a list of stuff before surgery that I will need as far as vitamins.

I'm not having the sleeve but I'm having bypass on may 11th!

I had my surgical consult today and my surgery is booked for May 11th! first surgery of the day! They will be doing it with the Divinci robot :-) pretty cool! any other people in May out there?

I am so excited, just booked my surgical consult date :-) it's getting so close now. I don't know what emotions to feel....nervous and excited all at the same time. I go to meet my surgeon on April 1st. Then I just have to wait for insurance approval. And from there book my date :-)

Bellabloom I am a 240 start weight with no weight to lose before hand as well! I am almost through my program and waiting on one more apt before I can book my surgery date :-) nice to your pictures you look great!

Hello everyone, I am new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 26 year old female from NH. I am 5'4 and my current weight is 241. I am going to be getting the gastric bypass. I have no co-morbidities so I am moving through the program rather quickly I start my 6 week lifestyle changes class that is required on Thursday. The only things I have left to do before setting a surgery date are a psych eval. And one more pre-op support group. Then I get to meet with the surgeon and set a date! I am beyond excited but a bit nervous all at once. I do have support from family and friends. I am so ready to start a better healthier life for me and my family. Thanks for reading.
