I am 50 and am 9 yrs out from my RNY I have not been following the things that I was suppose to do. I am getting back on track and getting control of my health again. I have been sick for the last 6 months due to not eating right and not taking my supplements. My son graduates from highschool in May and it's time for both of us to start the next chapter in our lives.

Yes you need to follow what they want you to do especially in the beginning it is a little frustrating but your body needs the protein especially or you will get sick I know I went through it myself.

I am 9 yrs out I have had problems with GERD pretty much from day 1. I ended up in the ER with what I thought was a heart attack. They found nothing and gave me antacids and sent me home. I went to see my surgeon and decided to do a endoscopy. I have an ulcer so am now on Omeprazol daily and Carafate 4x a day. Which I may need to be on for life. -
I made an appointment with the dietitian I have to wait 2 weeks but I am beginning to get back on track today. I'm also going to write down every thing I eat and drink because they always ask and I can never come up with a typical day.

I think we just made our own little group.

I'm new too. I am 9 yrs out from RNY . I was 410 when I started the process. I went all the way down to 160 I think. I thought I looked anorexic I went back up to 200 that is where I felt most comfortable. But now I'm at 225 or so and miserable. I have been sick for months because of not eating right and not taking my supplements. Trying to get back on track that is one of the reasons I have reached out to find some support.
