  1. Hi nybaby, Sorry about your trouble. I do think you will feel better in time, but I understand your frustrations. I have learned that if I eat too quickly, don't chew my foods well, and eat things that I am not ready to eat yet (6 weeks post-op) that I experience the esophageal pain. Some days are better than others. Also if I swallow air, I often have discomfort. Burping, hic-ups and time take care of it. I don't have the shoulder pain, only discomfort in the area between the shoulder blades. The best thing to do is to take it real slow and don't worry about it. You might be tensing out because you are worried about the issue. Breathe deeply and relax. I hope this helps!!
  2. Thank you, Maggie! I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my post. I will call my surgeon's office today and follow up with his nurse. Take care!
  3. Hi all! I am 6 days post op. I My procedure was the Roux-N-Y. Has any one else experienced pain between the shoulder blades after swallowing? Does this go away? I know I am still healing. I also have had heartburn during the night and belching during the day. Is this common? Thank you!!
