Sorry so late, been going through a lot. My body is having a hard time adjusting to my sleeve Been in the hospital about 4 times after my surgery. Now have a feeding tube in my tummy. But You decide everything the type of surgery and the surgeon. I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. Hopefully you'll start to feel better soon. -

African American vsgers!

Hello everyone! I finally got preop checklist done and submitted all the paperwork to the coordinator, so I'm waiting for insurance approval. It's been a hard road for me because for the past 13 years or so I've been on a weight loss journey and have had way too many ups and downs. The last time I was in one-derland was in 2007. I started going to wt loss doc in 2013 and tried everything including meds with small victories but started gaining wt. again. It's taken a long time to qualify for WLS because I didn't have any comorbidities, but now I'm pre-diabetic and have insulin resistance. I've also struggled with mixed feelings, because a big part of me felt/feels that I should be able to lose the weight on my own, but I'm having a hard time exercising because of knee pain/problems. I'm sorry for the length of the post, I never realized how cathartic posting could be. -

Getting super anxious about food after w4 postop
elladvyne posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi all, I am working through my checklist, only 3 things to check off before submitting to the insurance company, and I am having food anxiety issues! I'm worried about what kinds of foods I'll be able to eat. My nutritionist gave me some shake samples and I don't like them at all. I'm not so worried about the broth or baby food, but what does one eat after? What can one eat? -

What kind of food do you eat once able to eat normally again? I have a friend who had bypass about 10 years ago and she can't tolerate any beef. -

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your input. I'm just really scared. Probably unfounded, I just overthink things sometimes. -
