Hi, All! It is great to hear everyone is doing well. I was sleeved 5-4-15 and I am down 36lbs. since surgery. Doing my best to stay around the 60-65 grams of Protein range and getting roughly 60 oz. of liquids daily. It was very hard in the beginning having to go back into the hospital bc of an infection, but much better now. Hope everyone continues to have success. I'm proud of all of us...keep up the amazing work!!!

don't sweat it! my surgery was 5-4-15 where I weighed in at 251 and as of today I am 218. I was feeling like that was not enough but I'm learning to be patient with the process and focus on my eating and liquids. stay positive and the weight will come off.

May Sleevers...where are you?
Teebaby replied to bvenegas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Update: Surgery was 5-4-15, discharged 5-6-15, re-admit 5-7-15 for high fever (102.9) and an inflamed colon. It was a very horrible experience. I am all bruised from all of the IVs. My fever came down finally after several rounds of antibiotics and I was discharged today. Because of the setback, I haven't lost a significant amount of weight and I am swollen from all of the fluids. I pray none of you have to experience this. I am grateful I paid attention to my body and got to the doctor in time. Hope all is well with everyone... -
Chest pain when swallowing
Teebaby replied to Zachnchrissy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5 days post-op with a hernia repair as well and I am having the same experience. The best way to describe it is I can feel everything travel down after I swallow. It hurts a bit and feels very weird at the same time. All I know is I can't wait for it to go away because it makes it difficult for me to want to drink anything. -

May Sleevers...where are you?
Teebaby replied to bvenegas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Update: Sleeved on yesterday!!! I feel pretty good aside from the gas pain. It's horrible. I'm getting up walking as often as I can. One thing popped up this morning. My white blood cell count is high so they are redrawing my blood to make sure. Other than that I'm super excited and ready to go home. Hope all my May 4th sleevers are doing well too... -

HOW LONG OFF OF WORK?
Teebaby replied to heartonmysleeve82's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Because it is an unknown for me and I have the sick time available, I am taking 4 weeks off. I have had terrible reactions to surgeries in the past and I do not want to take the risk. FMLA should be your protection if your company has over 50 employees. Like @@Bonawanabfree said talk to HR prior to and you should be just fine. Good luck... -
You go Girl! Congrats!!! This is going to be the best summer ever!!!
