Gas in my chest
stitchybutt replied to Tiffers2629's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stephanie, there are horror stories with any surgery. I had foot surgery scheduled and the doctor operated on my leg. If you have any concerns, you can always talk to you doctor. You seem like you're doing really good. Keep up the good work! -
Gas in my chest

It's normal Stephanie. It will get better. Just make sure you drink water and do as much walking as possible. I know that when it starts to hurt really bad, I walk around the house, and it helps. I'm still having a good bit of pain, but everyone's different. Hopefully yours will go away sooner. -
Gas in my chest

My surgery was Jan. 15th, and the gas pain in my shoulder and chest is still very uncomfortable. I've tried gas-x and almost everything. My dr. gave me a prescription that doesn't work either. I keep walking. I guess it's just got to take its course. Blah! lol -
Nausea & gas - how long!
stitchybutt replied to ljcags's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 17 days post op, and my shoulder pain is so bad that I'm lucky to get an hour of sleep at a time. I've been drinking my Water and walking, but getting no relief. I take extra strength GasX, plus the doctor has me on a prescription. Also, I take strong med.s for my back pain. I guess it just wants to take its time. lol At least I haven't had any nausea. -
I started trying a few pieces of "hearts of romaine" lettuce about 5 days post op. No problems. I'm 2 weeks post op and have no problems eating a salad. I'm like bajagal101, with the iron stomach and always eaten spicy foods and peppers. Just give it time. I hope it gets better for ya'll.

I'm going on day 9 of my 10 day pre-op surgery, and have only lost 6 pounds. How has everyone lst so much weight during this time?
