Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I been on here. I went back to my lap band dr. Yesterday cause I gained weight recently due to new medications I'm on for anxiety and depression. I haven't had a fill in almost 2 years cause my weight was staying the same. He gave me a fill yesterday and I don't feel hungry at all which is great but...I keep burping when I drink Water and I was waking up coughing last night. I am able to swallow my meds but my stomach feels weird and my back feels weird too like they are both hurting a little. Can my band be too tight? Any help will be appreciated thanks. Hey everyone. I am from queens, ny and I wanted to know if anyone had their surgery at NYU hospital? I would love to get to know people that go to the same place i had my surgery! It would be great! And maybe we can all meet up for the NYU lap band support groups every month that they have.

I woke up in the middle of the night and this morning feeling like something is stuck. I had some of my son's gummy bears before bed. (I know dumb move) n now i have so much pain especially everytime when i swallow my salivia. Idk what to do. Please help

I can swallow water tea and even soda. I tried soda to help bring it up but when i throw up nothing is coming up really

Hi everyone tomorrow is gonna be 3weeks post op for me and my 2nd day on solids. Tomorrow i have an appt with my Dr. I wanted to know if anyone has ever gotten a fill 3 wks post op? I feel i am doing ok. I feel sorta satisfied with a cup of foods. I dont think i should get 1 cause maybe it will be too soon cause it is gonna be my 2nd day on solids.. If anyone can give me any input i would apreciate it. ThAnks!

Hi everyone! Today i just started solids and when i ate lunch after about 10minutes of chewing my food well i kept burping...is that a bad thing? I burped like 4 times in a row. Is burping like a sign of feeling satisfied? I didnt finish my whole lunch but ate most of it. I hope its normal the burping. Tomorrow i have an appt to see my Dr. But i doubt he will fill me since tomorrow will only be my 2nd day on solids. Also did anyone ever get filled after 3weeks post op?!?? If anyone can give me your input i would really appreciate it. Thanks

Hey everyone I got rebanded march 1st and since my surgery...i only lost 4 lbs! Is this normal? I been on mushy foods since last monday and I am taking in only about 600 calories a day! I don't understand! Why am I not losing weight!? I am really upset about all of this! I thought from being on liquids and mushy foods would make me lose weight how i did on my preop diet! I lost 10lbs on my preop diet. Its just confusing to me. Did everyone go through what i am going through? Is this normal?

Hi everyone. I just got rebanded march 1st. I didn't get my 1st fill yet. But i am really curious. Does everyone really get full by just one cup of food? I don't have nothing in my band yet and I am still on mushy food but 1cup is just so little! I eat a regular portion size and if i feel hungry i wait till my next meal.

I live in Queens, NY. Where in the city do you live? That would be great if we would be able to do it face to face. We would have to plan it and where would we have it? Are you able to eat more than 1 cup?

Thanks about the friends thing. I hope your arthritis gets better. I am mainly doing it for my health. I wanna be healthy not just for me but for my son. Dr. Schwack is amazing! Dr. Kurian is some piece of work! She did my 1st surgery in 2007 and I just got rebanded march 1st with Dr. Schwack. I would never let Dr. Kurian touch me ever again! I never met Dr. ren or Dr. fielding. When did you have your surgery?

I been on a liquid diet for over 3 wks now from my preop diet n post op diet and my friends don't even wanna hang out with me anymore cause they wanna go out to eat and i can't eat. I always find out they go shopping n then they say oh we went to red mango so we didnt wanna eat in front of you! I feel like they dont understand i am surrounded by food everywhere i go! I work i cook for my family . My coworkers n family eat in front of me... N i told them if u girls wanna grab a bite to eat i will look inside a store and shop. Did anyone have this problem with any of their friends??? I feel all left out and i feel hurt just cause i cant eat, they wont even invite me and they are always saying well idk u cant eat so we cant hang.

I am having the same problem! I got rebanded on march 1st. I had diahrrea last week i guess cause of the gas. But i havent had a normal bowel movement for almost like 3weeks! Should I take a laxative or a stool softner? I just started eating mushy foods on monday and still no BM!

Sorry to hear that! and especially since you were friends for over 20 yrs! it is hard. I have other friends and they are very supportive but these 2 friends of mine, i've know since 9th grade for over 14yrs so It is just very hurtful on how they are treating me. I haven't spoken to them since saturday and everytime when there is an argument, they say that I always try and make it seem like its all about me which isn't true. I guess they are just not true friends after all
