    1st appointment, 1st concern

I haven't got to meet with my behaviorist yet, the nurse told me to not loose weight before that appointment because they don't submit for the insurance until after the behaviorist approves me. But I will call back today just to be sure

    1st appointment, 1st concern

I'm not even sure how many more appointments I need before we can schedule. I think just the one more plus the other tests. I had an EKG done already. I guess I'm just nervous is all.
  4. Hey everyone, I've been a stalker to these pages for a long time and finally went to my first appointment yesterday! Basically a doctor cleared me physically for surgery and I need to be cleared by the behaviorist and the surgeon next. All good news and on top of it all my BMI is actually just over 50, (50.1 to be exact) so my insurance is not requiring me to do the 1 year of medically supervised weight loss. All big plusses for me, but my next appointment is a month away and I'very been told if my BMI drops below 50 I will have to do the year of supervised weight loss. I know, compared to everyone who has to wait, what am I complaining about. its just that I've never been told to hold off on the losing in the weight department lol Has anyone else been told this and how did it go? I don't want to gain 10 lbs and be told I'm not ready for this by the behaviorist, but I don't want to lose 5 lbs and have to wait a year for surgery. I guess I'm just looking for support! Thanks in advanced, can't wait to hear back from you all!
  5. I see that no one has responded to this and it's been a few days. did you call your surgeon? What happened? that sounds like you pulled something.

    insurance question

So were you able to go forward with it? I've found a bariatric surgeon who accepts the medicaid in Michigan, but i can't seem to find a PCP who does so I can be referred to him.

    my story

Thanks for posting this! I love how to the point it is and really is helpful. I've been looking into surgery now for a couple of months and need to make my appointment with a surgeon. I've been putting it off and after reading this I just feel like I don't have time to keep wasting, we all have a life to really live and people to live it for! thanks again

Compression shirts and wraps? loose skin

A friend of mine lost about 180 lbs from WLS and has used Nerium firm cream ( I think this is what it is called) anyways she got it online at michaelmiller9.theneriumlook.com << this is the website she sent me. but If you could see her now, she had MASSIVE back skin that just sagged really awful and now she looks like she NEVER had the sagging skin and was never overweight. I can't wait to have that much success!!

    Leg Pain/Numbness

A close friend of mine had this and actually lost the ability to walk a couple months after her WLS. it was a vitamin B deficiency that she let get out of hand. I would call your Dr ASAP
