I have really bad pain when I sit down. I had lap band to gastric sleeve surgery. I had many tests and X-rays done. When I sit down I am in really bad pain and I've tried many things to remedy or get rid of the pain. Has anyone on this forum or in any other place heard of this before? Can anyone help me with some help with dealing with this?

Here is some info I've got together.. I had lap band to gastric sleeve surgery in 2015. I feel a lot of muscular skeletal pain in my back and side. The pain is very painful and feels like a cramping. I took some OTC pain relievers and they don't seem to work effectively. I am asking anyone out there in the world as to what is causing this pain. It feels neurological and as I know, your not supposed to be in pain with this surgery. I really regret having the surgery and any help would be appreciated. Anyone have any outside opinion in some other state or country? I had the Lap band --- Sleeve revision and found two disc bulges from an MRI.

I had lap band to gastric sleeve surgery and live with terrible back and stomach spasms. The doctor found 2 disc bulges but it is still not known why I have such pain. Is there anything that I can do about the spasming and pain? Would a nerve block or any pain medication work to decrease pain?

I had the banded plicqtion to the sleeve and have stomach and spine cramps. After tension and stress the lower half of my back cramps and is very painful. I had two mRIs and xrays done and found two bulging discs. Any info on what I can do to get rid of this pain?

I had Lap band to Gastric sleeve surgery and have bad back spasms. I was given muscle relaxers and 2 cortisone shots. Sometimes the back spasms can be very sudden and painful. Has this happened to anyone on here? Could this be due to the Gastric Sleeve or the spinal cord bulges?

I had surgery like 5 years ago and I still suffer from blights of this pain.

I had gastric band to gastric sleeve and get terrible cramps on my left side. It’s hard for me to sit down, the cramping can be intensely pain.. has anyone ever heard of this? Has this been ever heard of before?

I get spine and stomach pains especially when I sit down. The pain is very intense and I was wondering if anyone in these forums has heard of this. I had many mris done and they found 2 disc bulges.. if anyone has heard of this please let me know..

Thank you for your help, I actually had the gallbladder removed and some cortisone or medial branch treatments for the back pain. For some reason it is very bad. I was wondering if those are bad for you the medial branch as I don't want to get surgery on the bulging discs but they discs for some reason cause a lot of pain.

the simple question is: are bulges related to pain or is the gastric sleeve related to this back pain?

I have really bad spine cramping and spasming to this day as a result of getting lap band to sleeve surgery.. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this pain. I have herniated discs and had a few cortisone shots but I’m still in pain at all times... has anyone heard of this before? Any advice?

I am having really bad cramping of the spine and gastric sleeve. They did some MRI's and found some bulging discs. They are in the lower spine. The pain is very muscular and cramps and can be very painful. I've been on muscle relaxers and had some tests done, but normally don't get any results. Is there any explanation for why I am in this pain? The spasming can be really painful.

I have gastric and back spasms since having gastric sleeve surgery 3 years ago. I have some questions for anyone who knows anything about this. I was told there were 3 bulging discs in the spine, although i'm in pain in the back everyday. it feels like a cramping in the back, and it can be very painful. has anyone heard of this? its hard for me to sit down, and cold ice packs work on this pain. its very frustrating.

I’ve been dealing with left side stomach/spine pain still for 2 years.. i take Tylenol and do physical therapy but it isn’t good enough, all I’m wondering is if this has been recorded, I also have 2 bulging discs.. The stomach and spine can really ache.. any help?

I’ve been writing about my left spine and stomach pain for a long time now. I have back pain and a few bulges in my spine discs for the past 2 years. I do stretching and use Tylenol but under stress I get a lot of stomach muscle and spine pain. Has anyone heard of this? Ice packs reduce the pain but it can be terrible.

I was just wondering if this is a normal thing people experience with a gastric sleeve. I've been having cramping in the spine area, it feels very rigid and painful. Could this be due to a pinched nerve or some sort of spinal disk thing? Has this happened to anyone? I was told your not supposed to be in any pain with this type of stomach surgery.

I had gastric band to sleeve surgery, recently I had a mri if the spine and they found a couple of bulging discs there. I’ve been having pretty bad spine pain 4 the past year. I had a steroid shot to rid the pain, but it did little to nothing. The pain can be really painful, as the bulges are in the lower spine. Has anyone heard anything like this? Any thoughts?

Does anyone have any help for someone having cramping nerve pain on the left side of the stomach? The pain goes on and it goes into my spine, its been going on for years. Although the pain isnt as bad in the past couple of months.. Has anyone ever heard of this type of pain before? Its the same type of pain like in the spinal cord and its horrible. I got the pain in the days following the lap band procedure.

I had lap band to sleeve surgery. As a result, I've been having horrible gastric spasms on the left side. Like many I have read the tests show normal results. I've been on neurontin and some muscle relaxers but none seem to work. The pain is like an abdominal spasm and cramp. Its very painful sometimes. Any ideas on what this could be and how to treat it? Has anyone heard of this before?

Walking really helps with pain like that. Also getting enough water and fluid. I know with my situation I tried different OTC pain relievers and they don't seem to do much. Its very disruptive.

This is like the 4th time asking this question. I've been having gastric cramping on the left side. The cramping can be very bad at times, I was given gabapentin as a pain medicine but it barely works. The cramping goes into my back and it helps to exercise or drink fluids. Has anyone else experienced this type of pain? It started the same day I got the first lap band surgery. Its very frustrating for me.

I was wondering if there was anyone on here or any new people that know the pain I experience. I had the Gastric Band to Sleeve a few years ago. I've been having abdominal pain it feels like a spasm cramping. Had many tests done including Upper Gi and CT scan. The pain is constant, in the morning it isnt as bad, it is like a soreness. Has anyone else experienced this type of thing? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, i know ive posted this question many times but has anyone had pain on the left side of the abdomen years after surgery? The pain feels like a stiff stomach and back. I dont feel it when i am asleep but i kind of regret having the surgery now. I had my gallbladder taken out and many tests done.

Just wondering, I had lapband surgery to gastric sleeve and ive been having cramping. I’m not sure what it is because its left side pain and its it may be attributed to the bowel, trapped gas.I mean it sounds funny but theres got to be an explanation. If anyone has any idea lmk.
