:hungry:So I can eat an entire 10 piece Sushi Roll Plate and yet a teaspoon size of chicken breast, thoroughly chewed, hurts like hell! It is the One Thing (besides bread/pizza) that I just can't eat. Anyone Else have "THE CHICKEN EFFECT?":help: I am not sure if I need another fill, losing slowly, because I get BaD AWfuL restriction with the chicken, (even Slimed!) and am fuller longer, but then randomly can eat a plate of rice laden sushi? :faint: It seems kinda random sometimes, what I can and can't eat. One day, a Protein drink of Chicken Soup powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury will fill me for hours, and another, a small dish of potato salad and I will still be hungry as a dog (must be the carbs). Thanks for everyone's help here - I have learned so much that I didn't learn from my doctor - I am going to SLOW DOWN and CHEW MORE, POUND Water and BE PATIENT. I think. Well, that's the plan...

Why is CHICKEN So HARD TO EAT?
LovingWhatIs replied to LovingWhatIs's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I love the crock pot Idea. Gonna try that. Thank god I love Tofu and Cottage cheese, tho. PB is Productive Burp. I experience it as a food coming up and out but not like vomiting in that I don't have the spasming feeling or the suddeness of it. It is like a burp that carries food with it. Others may experience it another way. -

Thanks for the post WasaBubble. I post here and love the support I get for walking through this LapBand process... And I also love sharing the tools that have helped me (i mail them out to people here who ask, for free, so my agenda is only to give back freely for those that ask). And I don't have opinions... only experiences, strength and hope to share. What' s good for me is not good for everyone and I love that too. Best to you . Lisa

Well said, Elena. You express yourself so beautifully. My friend Byron Katie, has a saying that really resonates with me, and it is: DEFENSE IS THE FIRST ACT OF WAR. I send you love and joy on this holiday and everyday. Lisa

I would get on the phone and INSIST that I get a fill. After 6 weeks, you can get one. There is no excuse for this. The band works, but until it is filled, for most people, it is as if it isn't even there. CALL your doctor and FUSS! You go girl. -
I can imagine Cheryl! I locked my keys in the car at the gas station on my way to my last fill - boy was I freeked out! I live in a small town and a total stranger took me to my house to get my car, and another total stranger said, YOU GO TO YOUR APPOINTMENT, WHEN YOU GET BACK I WILL HAVE GOTTEN YOUR KEYS OUT AND will move your car to a parking spot. And he did. Aren't people remarkable? So I feel your pain. Also, email me your Address, Cheryl and I will send you some of Byron Katie's CDs on doing the work on Body image, and other subjects. You don't need to return them. My email is: private@meetingyourmind.com

This may be off the wall, but I had some bad pain and I suspected it was from a Spasm (I cannot tell you what led me to believe this but I was just sure) I soaked in my sister's hot-tub spa for 40 minutes up to my neck. It was gone in a couple hours, after plaguing me for days. May be worth a try...

The Magic Bullet - A Bandster Must-Have!
LovingWhatIs replied to LovingWhatIs's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
great feedback from Everyone. Julie, I love my bullet too. But when my surgeon first told me I need a Magic Bullet, I thought he was talking about a Sex Toy, and my mouth kinda hung open! Thank god I stayed quiet long enough for him to explain. We are pretty good friends, but sheesh! -
I can't help but notice that, with all the talk of how Christmas is about being loving and kind, this thread seems to be largely about being Bitter towards Tits for being Bitter. (Projection anyone?) Again, if it's so easy, can we do it? I expect Tits to not be bitter, yet I am bitter towards Tits? I need to keep my own side of the street clean (bitter free) before I point the finger at someone else, and believe me, THAT is a full time job. We are all just doing our best.

Tits, You really do have a way with words, Laughing my head off at the last couple lines...!

Well said, Redgirl. My doc is the same way. He insists that I understand satiety and how it feels in my body, and I don't feel any excessive hunger and "diet" through it. I had my first fill Oct. 31st and my third one a week ago, and I have excellent restriction. Losing a couple pounds a week is wonderful! Any more, and I start to suspect I am burning Lean muscle tissue and I need all of that I can get! Thanks for putting this they way you did. It really help to confirm my trust in my Doc. -
The Magic Bullet - A Bandster Must-Have!
LovingWhatIs replied to LovingWhatIs's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Totally. I don't drink anymore, but the volume of a small (3/4 c.) of ingredients for a smoothie is like double the size after doing it in the MB than it is in a blender. It's like a marshmallow cream if I let it run long enough. I am going to LA over New Years, and we are doing a 5 days juice fast, so the Bullet is going with - I'll make Virgin Margaritas! -

Cool! Isn't it the greatest little device? It goes with me everywhere. -
Elena, that was such a nice post. Aren't we all just doing our best... LOVE!
-
Yeah, taking everyone else's inventory is easier. Why else would we do it? hah hah. LOVE!

When I become critical of people who are critical, I notice that we have everything in common. If it is so easy, can I do it? When I am negative about people being negative, I notice that we have everything in common. If it is so easy, Can I do It? This awareness that we are the same joins me in love with all of you, instead of separating me from you. And I find that I don't need to eat addictively when everyone is my brother or sister. Peace begins with me. Can I do that?

Hahahha. Yeah, give snorting coke a new meaning. I guess I can say I have reverse-snorted. Much healthier!

I can see the problem with the booze and spending, but the other lady sounds like she is having a good time! Hey, if you want, Para, I will send you a CD and book on using "The Work" for dealing with stress. It is a simple way to identify and question the stressful thoughts that lead to the fridge! It is easy and free. I would be glad to send you something, just email me your address at private@meetingyourmind.com Love to all! lisa

:angry Do not let my husband see this! It would blow my cover, no pun intended. -
Cool, metal - thanks. The issue is certainly becoming more talked about. I have no reason to think this is true, but I suspect that Bypass Surgery has a higher incidence of this - it would be interesting to know. There is another thread that talks about Suicide statistics among WLS folks being significantly higher, too. I still think it is probably a very small percentage.
