Hello, My name is Karma and I live in Southern NJ.  I am 45 yrs old and I have a son that is 14 yrs old.  I just had my first appointment with the Bariatric doctor on Jan. 8, 2015.  I am very excited to finally be starting this journey!  They went over all the stuff I have to get done and my next appnt is March 26th. My Mom and my sister and her husband have all had the RNY and that is what I am going to have done also.  They all had great success with their surgeries and I can't wait to get mine! :)  I went on October 12th to have the RNY surgery done, but when they cut me open, they found something was right with my liver, so they did a biopsy and closed me back up.  They later found out that I have what is called fatty-liver, non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, but my new liver Dr checked me and ok'd for a gastric sleeve.  
     I just had the sleeve done 5/9/16, and I am 3 days out.  Got out of the hospital last night, and not feeling too bad.  Looking forward to losing some weight!
