marbelvsg - I teach technology and library K-6. Some grades have larger amounts of teachers, so I double up. Start at 8:10, 35 minute classes, 5 minute transitions and no planning. It is not an ideal schedule, but I love what I do and the kiddos are awesome!

My surgeon required a minimum of two weeks off with a recommendation of three weeks. I teach 8 preps a day, so he wanted more time off. Am I ever glad I listened to him. It's two weeks post-op and finally getting energy back!

Question about stomach "contractions"
reticentrebel replied to brandytanny's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@Brandytanny- Dr told me the uncomfortable feelings are the gas they used to inflate your stomach during surgery. The more you walk, and "release" the air, the less discomfort you will have. The gas may also mask itself like stabbing pinched nerves. All normal. Should dissapate after a week. -

In Tucson, just got sleeved on 1/27/15. Surgeon is Dr. Burpee at Northwest Hopital. Went smoothly and staff was amazing! -

@prettywingz: whey protein shakes (30grams protein each) for breakfast and lunch then low fat, lean protein 600 calorie dinner. Drinking at least 64 oz of water...1-2 oz every 15 minutes. Surgeons will differ on what your pre-op allows, so check with them to make sure. You can do it!! Good luck!!

Day 4 of pre-op diet. Protein shakes for breakfast and lunch. Then 500-600 low fat calorie meal...lean protein and veggies. Already down 9 lbs. It's the cravings that I struggle with, but doing well otherwise.

Today us day 1 of pre-op diet for me as well. Breakfast and lunch protein shakes along with 500-700 calorie, protein rich dinner. Dr suggested drinking 2oz of water every 15 minutes I'm awake to help curb hunger.
