Research Opportunity for Post-OP patients (Online Community for $100)
nay2jean replied to Isaac Sorsa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My name is LaNae Osmond, from Minnesota. I just completed the application for research opportunity regarding bariatric surgery. I am so sorry, but I read through the information very quickly, and inadvertently missed the "Post-Op" requirement!! I am going to have a Vertical Sleeve Gasterectomy. I have completed all the required assessments and preparations for surgery. I am waiting for a date to meet the surgeon. If you wish to continue with the interview, I'm grateful! If not, I would like to apologize for my mistake and any inconvenience I may have caused. Sincerely, LaNae Osmond -
Hi Everyone! Hey, last week or so, I happened to see a post that included a connection to a site where we could get up to 90 days of post-op Vitamins and/or supplements free, but now I can't find that post again! Anyone able to help me? I finally got the call from Park Nicollet Hospital to move forward with the next steps necessary to prepare for my VSG!!! Can't wait to begin a new life!

How many of you think it's necessary to have a Nutri Bullet or something like that?

I have had these same concerns! I have not had surgery yet, so I've decided not to tell my friends until I know for sure everything will work out. My closest friends are going to be difficult NOT to tell because they are so nosey!! and I'm so bad at lying!! Therefore, I have decided to tell my closest friends because of that and I expect they will be good support for me. Other acquaintances, however, I think I'm just going to say that I'm on high Protein and low carbs to better control my type 2 Diabetes. I just can't wait for a thinner life!! I'm so proud and happy for those of you who have already done it!! I'm a little afraid of some of the possible complications; hair loss, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, and not being able to get in enough protein and/or Water. I've read SO much about all these complications!! I'm planning to stay positive though and get through this and enjoy life again!!
