Hi! No matter what we take, hair loss is part of the deal and is inevitable, I guess and it happens to everyone, but it is temporary and as soon as the body adjusts, the hair grows back, sometimes different and better than before. I used to have straight hair and not I am on a curly side 😊

How long is the waiting period for surgery in Mexico?
krz0002 replied to fancypants67's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi! Do not be terrified, it is not as bad as you think, and most likely it will be the best decision you have ever made. I did my sleeve in OCC in December 2015 and it wen pretty well, 75?pouhds down and counting, I am at my normal weight right now, I did not have any health issues either but what a difference it made! To answer your question I have started collecting infor end of September 2015 and had my sleeve done on December 4th. I would no call it a waiting time - you are only limited bt your own limitations, like time you can take off work and time you can come up with the money. I completely relied on this site for information as I did not know a single person who did sleeve anywhere, so this site is pretty good as information source, just ask the question and take time to read reviews.,good luck! -
How long before you felt ready to return to work?
krz0002 replied to Sparkles!!'s topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi! I would not take more than a week. It is really not a big of a deal operation. I took two weeks off and after the operstion we rented a car and travelled in California, we walked a lot in Disney and Universal studio and I tried all tides. I was fine. Just make sure you will walk a lot and you will heal faster. -
Hi! I did my sleeve in OCC in December 2015 and I am very happy with the results. I am 56 pounds down. The medical staff was very polite and professional and the medical care is by far better than what we get here in Canada for our taxpayer monies. I also relied on this web site only for the information. I have never met a real sleever before making a decision, but I am glad I did. The best decision of my life. I wish I did it before. The hotel was great ( if you are taking a buddy they will love the food in the Mariotte 's restaurant. Probably the best food my hubby ever had staying in the hotel). Dr Ariel Ortiz was also good. I felt I was in good hands. There were 5 of us in the clinic recovering from the operation - 3 from Canada and 2 from US. We felt safe in Tichuana, there are lots to see and do there as you need to walk a lot after the operation. I hope it addresses some of your questions. Good luck!
