    How about some NSVs!?!?

My NSV is that after about 3 seasons.. i was able to wear these beautiful brown suede boots that i have not been able to zip up past my calfs ... this past weekend.. they zipped all the way up .. and I was showing them off proudly.. Looking forward to seeing the clothes this spring.. in the bins downstairs that i have labled " Don't fit but keep just in case I lose weight " yes i really have a bin that says that.. I have some great designer clothes that I just could not part with and had hopes that one day i would fit into them again... More to come folks ...
  6. This is very useful information.. i think i am at the point that i cannot tolerate the protien powder drink also.. leaves me with a nauseous feeling .. and my bloated stomach... i need to probably due more isopure and nectar .. today is 1 month since my surgery... and feeling good but having a tough time with the Protein shakes.. my surgeon's PA told me that i am going to have a bit of a harder time with losing because i am not eating enough.. i like the 30 second rule and think i am going to have my iPhone with timer on when i eat to monitor my eating habit.. really good suggestion.. because i have noticed that my brain is not catching up with my stomach when i am eating and then if i eat too much.. i pay for it later... any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

    January RNY Surgery

i am having my surgery on January 26... only 4 days away.. my pre-op started off tough but am now used to the low fat cooking and shakes.. i have really learned a lot about my body these past two weeks... I actually feel great from doing this two week cleanse in preparation for the surgery and my new life style .. I feel strong and my hunger and sugar withdrawals have subsided .. one thing i have noticed is that I am not weezing so i wonder what foods I could have been eating that exacerbating my condition.. I am not a smoker or heavy drinker at all.. that is a plus.. Nervous and excited at the same time.. I am sure I will be successful with the support of my family ... I haven't been going to they gym in fear that i could catch the flu.. and don't want to chance it.. Have my eyes on the prize.. getting close to the finish line..
  11. Beside the shakes.. I would love to hear from you..what did you eat for meals during the 2 week pre-op!! thank you in advance for your suggestions..

    Cold feet

Hello Everyone.. This blog is exactly what i needed to hear... hcruce... i am feeling the same way as you.. COLD Feet... i am scheduled on January 26 for my GBS.. I had lapband surgery in October 2006 275lbs .. Did lose weight at first then slowly it came back .. I had my Lapland removed this past November.. Surgery went fine..just the healing from the incision sites were a bit tough .. but my surgeon tells me the ones for the GBS site will be small.. Just looking at the pre-op diet scares the heck out of me.. I need to be soooo strong and not give into the food demons... saj54539@yahoo.com you said some interesting things that hit home... My Mom passed away March 2014 and she had so many complications.. I don't want to live like she did... in a bed .. not able to walk..taking so many medications.. not able to have surgery due to high risk complicatons .. I am insulin resistant.. and don't want to deal with diabetes in my future...I really need to get my head straight before and after this surgery so that it is successful.. i have taken care of my Mother most of my life and now it is time for me to start to live the right way.. Being Hispanic is a bit hard due to the great foods we prepare.. Any suggestions out there.. i welcome ...
