    Do you hate to eat?

I was banded on Oct. 22. (My starting BMI 35 and now 33.7) (7 lb weight loss - uugh! I'll take it, but I wish it was more.) Anyway, I had my first fill 2 days ago, but since my surgery I am starting to hate eating. There is so much to this band. (Not that I regret my decision). If I eat too much, pain, not chewing well, pain. I know this sounds dumb, and the most yucky thing is I can feel everything go down - it is not pleasant. No vomiting or regurge going on. I guess I just want to eat. And I did not realize that my brain is so hooked on eating. Even when I am not hungry, which is most of the time, I want to eat. It is frustrating because it is for NO REASON. Crazy, huh? Thanks for letting me vent! Heather:eek:

    I Need Help

Hi Annie, I am the same way. It seems like I can eat JUNK, but have a difficult time eating what I know I should. It seems like it is not just about getting things stuck (pain). It is about that feeling of feeling everything that goes down. If that makes sense. I hate that sensation. It is like the worst imaginable screetch. Like nails on a chalkboard. This is the main thing that I did not expect with this surgery. I feel for you. HEather:girl_hug:

    CRAZZZZY! (about diet)

Hi everyone, I am new to this website, and am excited to get to know everyone. So for the crazy question - After the post op diet, what diet are you following? I know this is a crazy question, but the only diet information I have recieved from my doctor is the immediate post op diets. Because my starting BMI was right on the borderline (35), They did not want to do a pre-op diet prior to sugery. In fact, I took the small class they had to explain the procedure and post op diet and then 2 weeks later I was approved and had surgery. That being said I am quite educated in this procedure and have done my homework. So what I have heard is that there are several diets that your doctor may recommend. One is the pyramid diet with low fat, atkins, south beach, Which one are you on? What seems to be the most successful? The reason I am asking is that I have lost only 4-5 lbs since the surgury and my appointment is not ofr another 2 weeks. I would like to see some progress. I am eager to get going. I started exercising last week - feeling good about that. Thanks for your input,:embarassed: Heather
