    My Story to help inspire!

Thanks Charlie! I have my surgery this Tuesday and I am nervous, anxious, and excited. I feel all these emotions running through me and I know if I don't do this now I never will. I am trying to keep my faith and courage up to defeat the other negative responses I am feeling. I want to be healthier and have a "second" chance so to speak at life. I have MS and stress is my trigger and I just needed some reassurance that I will be ok and I will get through this as others had. God Bless!

    Any February Sleevers

Please Help! My surgery is Tuesday the 3rd and I need some support as I am becoming very anxious and nervous. I really want this this surgery and need some encouragement. I have MS and stress is my trigger and don't want to go into this with a ball of nerves. Please talk me back down and tell me its going to be alright as I really want to be healthier and join the losers bench.
  3. Congrats! I have my surgery scheduled for Feb. 3rd. I am excited, nervous, and worried as I have all these emotions. I know I need to have this done to get my life back on track but hate going under the knife. Worried if I will wake up or have complications. I have MS and I also hope it does not put too much stress on my body and I have a relapse. Praying for a fast uncomplicated recovery for all of us! God Bless!
  4. Hi Everyone! I have been diagnosed with MS for 4 yrs. now. My surgeon recommended GS over banding and bypass surgery due to the MS. I had to skip the last two surgery dates due to a bad relapse in July as I had terrible vertigo and went numb on my entire left side. After two rounds of high dose steroids was able to come down from the vertigo. It was terrible with throwing up for 36 hours straight and not able to walk. Thank God after six months I am back to base line and walking, have short term memory loss but just meet with surgeon on Monday and said he will proceed with my WLS, he has it scheduled for Feb.3rd and I am very anxious but nervous at the same time, just want to recover with no complications or another relapse. Keep me in your prayers as I will you all as well, and glad everyone is doing well. Did anyone have any issues after the surgery that I should be aware of? Looking forward to a new year and a new me with more energy. I take Avonex once a week, but my bloodwork shows no antibody build up to the medicine so its the MS. God Bless and hope to hear back!

    Multiple sclerosis

Hi JM! I have MS, (relapsing remitting) my surgery is scheduled for February 3rd as my last two surgery dates were cancelled due to a bad relapse back in July. I had very bad vertigo and went numb on my whole left side. Did two rounds of steroids to calm the inflammation of the nerves but I am doing fine now. I see your surgery is tomorrow and wish you the best of luck as I will say a prayer for a quick recovery and relapse free. The MS will not kill you it is just very unpredictable which sucks. My trigger is stress as I found that out 4 yrs. ago when I was first diagnosed. We can talk more once you recover. I think this surgery will provide more benefits to us that have this chronic disease as I am looking forward to becoming more energetic and healthier. God Bless!
