  1. You look really, really great! Congrats on your success Thank you NJ MOM How are you?
  2. Hello everyone, I'm Antonio I was sleeved on 5/29/15. Reside in NYC. Was sleeved at NY Presbyterian HW 340 SW 320 CW 200 MY GOAL WAS 225. But now I want to go down to 190 . I been motivated for the results of the weight loss and my gym results. I lost all of my weight by November 2015 now it's just been maintenance. Definitely keeping active, as you see I picked up biking which is something I haven't done in 20 years along with hiking. Surgery was the best decision I made in my life. My only regret was not doing it sooner since now I'm in my mid 40s . Hope to chat with fellow NY'ers

I didn't expect them to change but understand I wasnt capable of eating or drinking. I would go out with them to laugh but it was always an issue since they kept ordering food and drinks for me. They didn't respect my surgery. So I cut ties with a few of them. I didn't need any negativity in my life. We have to make hard decisions sometimes. I sacrificed pizza for a year. I had a pizza in my 1 yr anniversary of surgery.

    So tired

Definitely check your B12 and have some blood work done. I felt like that in the first 3 months now I'm trying to sleep more. I get 5 hours. I'm up at 4am everyday for the gym or to go biking. I use multivitamin patch from patchmd and a monthly b12 injection from my dr. . The last two pictures were from last night and today.

    Drinking?

I didn't touch a drink until 9 months later. Only had 4oz or so and that was it. It felt like I drank 5 drinks but I was ok. Definitely don't have any till some time later. Unfortunately friends don't understand if you tell them so I had to distance myself from some people in order for me to succeed. It's hard but it has to be done for the better you. I added some pics
  11. We all been there especially in the first few days weeks after surgery. We have to prepare mentally as well and keep moving forward and remember why we did the surgery. It's definitely a change of lifestyle. I'm 17 months postop HW 340 CW 200. I passed my goal weight of 230. I'm starting the gym again to reach my new goal of 190 or 185. Be strong. It's worth the struggle in the beginning. I added some pics to maybe help.

Thank you. Keep us posted I'm definitely making up for the time by being more active. Gym. Cycling hiking. Golfing. You'll be amazed of the energy you'll have once the weight is gone. I started biking in June and been going on weekends at 4am and biking 30-50 miles. Of course I started slow but it's great if you can bike or learn if you don't know.

    Calcium chewable

Only online. They do work. I been using them since my surgery last year and have my blood checked every few weeks and they're perfect. I had to take less of the patch by using every other day since my body was absorbing everything.

Hi Gina. Thank you. Keep setting your goals and build your focus in the preop and postop. I've met so many who struggle after surgery because they were not mentally prepared to sacrifice. It's a change of lifestyle in the first year. Unfortunately I had to end a few friendships due to they didn't care about my surgery and continued to eat out and drink but that was not the way I wanted to continue. What are you stats and goals? Where in NYC ?
