How much food are you consuming in one sitting? You mentioned you stop when you get hiccups. You shouldn't be consuming more than 4oz at a time.

How long until I go back to work?
atontor replied to nomoremeds's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It all depends on how you heal. I know a few people who went back to work a few days after surgery. I had a lot of energy after surgery but once my body got back to somewhat normal I felt sluggish. I'm getting used to the vitamins and supplements we have to take. It's not hard taking them it just taking them throughout the day since we cannot handle all of them at once. -
You're going to be fine. Think positive.

Your overall health is important, but you have to decide in the end. -
I've had my first follow up visit and happy to know I've lost exactly 40 lbs since having my surgery on May 29. I must say I was skeptical on eating puréed food but thankfully I been able to season my chicken and beans and other food choices the saw way I would cook them. I've enjoyed the food taste.

I had my Surgery on Friday at NY Presbyterian. It was done by M. Bagloo. I must say I was so scared considering I've never been in a hospital setting but Dr. Bagloo and her staff were top notch along with the RN's that were there to help me afterwards. I'm just dealing with abdominal pain at the moment. I been keeping track of my liquid intake every 20 minutes.

Thanks for the info. I'll try the heating pad.

I just had my surgery on Friday thankfully I was the first one at 7am but rubbing an ice cube on your lips should help you with the thirst along with taking water just to wet your mouth. -
