I was cleared to exercise after 6 weeks. Basically do a lot of walking and lite weights at home. Waiting my kids to return to school to join the gym. Thankfully the walking has helped. Next week makes 12 weeks post op and I'm down 81lbs.

Tired and sleepy is normal. The first week after surgery I had energy to waste but then I was taking naps here and there. I was only able to walk 10 minutes max but gradually increased every few days. Now I'm 12 weeks post op and have a lot more energy , more than expected

It may be too early after 4 weeks for watermelon. I started having watermelon after I started having real good again. Thankfully I heal very fast but everyone is different. Did you Dr give you guidelines to follow concerning food to eat and not to eat during the first 2 months? Next week make 12 weeks post op and I'm down 81lbs so far

Full or Eating too fast?

Ty for responding but i know for sure that I do not have to go back to liquids..lol. I'm doing very well. I've never experienced nausea and have been able to keep everything done since surgery. I know it's a process with learning my sleeve & body's response. I just need to id this 1. Did you skip the purée food stage? Real food for me didn't happen until 6 weeks after surgery. When my NUT and Dr cleared me to do so after my 2nd post op visit. Next week makes 12 weeks and I'm down 81lbs so far. -

How much weight loss first 3wks

Hi. It varies but in my case I believe it was around 25lbs in the first 3 weeks. Next week makes 12 weeks post op and as of yesterday I'm down 81lbs. -
I do a lot of walking and follow my Dr's guidelines when it comes to food and protein. They provided me with a great guideline about foods to eat and not to eat. I was afraid I wouldn't lose any more weight once I started eating regular good but it has continued. A bit slower but it has. The most difficult thing is keeping up with my clothe.

I had mine on May 29, 2015. As of yesterday I lost a total of 80lbs

Hi I'm also from NYC. May I ask which Surgeon you used? Had my lapband done at NYU and would like to get a second opinion. Hi. I had my surgery at NY Presbyterian on 168th St. My surgeon was Dr Melissa Bagloo, great expertise her staff and her. Unfortunately she left to become director of bariatric surgery at Valley hospital in NJ. But the other surgeons there are great as well since I've heard great stories from other people I've met there.

You can definitely drink G2. I'm 10 weeks post op and continue drinking it throughout the day along with protein shakes and water. It all depends how my day is going. I also drink the powerade zero.

Do I need a Pizza Funeral

I've enjoyed the crust my daughter doesn't eat. Trying to stay away the best I can. Pizza and soda is what cause my weight gain in the beginning. -

atontor replied to CHELL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on purée foods. I made a lot of grilled chicken and red beans together to get my proteins. I was very happy with it. Felt satisfied since I seasoned it well. I'm 10 weeks post op as of yesterday and presently down 80lbs exactly -
What's your vitamin of choice
atontor replied to dkrause's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm using Patches from PatchMD. My nutrition recommended it but I'm getting my full blood work at the end of the month so I'll be able to know if they're working. -
Cool. I was just in Boston for a few days.
