I kept it simple with the foods during that stage. I didn't want to go crazy. I was only doing a lot of walking. I just started exercising 2 weeks ago

    New York sleevers

Hi. Everyone loses weight differently. I ate purée foods for 2 weeks ( I puréed beans and chicken to get all my protein) and then the dr changed to soft good I ate boiled egg whites. Apple sauce, soft chicken, ground chicken. Chili. I'm 16 weeks post op and I'm down 95 lbs since surgery and 110 since my pre op diet.
  5. Here is the patch info. It's a daily patch it cost $20 for a 30 day supply which is a bargain comparing it to all the pills we have to take.
  6. First surgery of any kind so i was scared since I don't like hospitals lol. Ice read so many stories on this site and was scared with the different issues people were experiencing. I'm so thankful I didn't have any reactions to food or surgery. My only concern was taking vitamins on a daily basis but I been using a patch that provides all the vitamins I need and found out my body is absorbing all of it and my dr and nut told me to only use half of the patch. I didn't think I would get to this size so fast. My frustration now is clothe since I keep losing. I thought I would stop at a size 38 since I was a 46-48. I'm now using 36.
  7. Yes. My SW was 305. I'm now 210. My goal is 200.
  8. Things are better than expected. I'm healthy in every aspect. I'm Down 95 lbs.
  9. I also had my food funeral before surgery. I'm 16 weeks post op as of today
  10. I understand and good luck on your decision. Xmas will definitely be better

    Pain from Bovie pad

It's a pad they place on your upper thigh for grounding electricity that run through your body when they user lasers. They don't mention it before surgery. I surely didn't know but found out when I went to the ER due to the severe pain a few days after surgery. Ask your dr about it. I was given s Rx for a lidocaine patch that I used for about 5 weeks before the pain went away.
  13. Hi everyone, I was curious if anyone is or was suffering from thigh pain as a result of the Bovie pad used during surgery?

    Is 8oz too much?

Be careful because I was home the next day and also doing laundry and cooking for the family since my body was still feeling the pain medication but it ran out after a week then I felt sluggish and could barely walk to the corner. Where are you from?

    Need vitamin suggestions please

Hi. I had blood work done and apparently my body is absorbing everything the patch gives me so my PCP & NUT recommended to cut them in half since I was over the limit on a few vitamins. So I'm doing half right now until my next blood work in early November.
  18. Hi. Don't be discouraged, everyone is different. It takes time. Are you walking or exercising?

    Is 8oz too much?

You stomach can handle more but it's definitely not recommended. You need to stay at 4oz since your stomach is healing and you wouldn't want to have any issues or having it begin to stretch . This surgery is definitely a life changing experience and we need to follow certain things in order for it to succeed and for us to accomplish our goals. It took me a while to prepare mentally that even though I could drink or eat more that it's best that I don't. I had surgery on 5/29/15 weighting 306 lbs and as of this past Friday I'm down to 210 lbs. Current pic is

Hi. Your personal pillow, tablets, iPod or iPhone. Books or magazines to read. I need ear plugs because with all the machines beeping through out the night you wouldn't be able to get any sleep.
