You can order a spray or cream online (unless you are brave and have a porn shop close by) that is basically lidocaine. It's the stuff for men to last longer...:-P. But makes waxing the privates much less painful. I am sure it works on legs too. Never waxed my armpits, assumed it would hurt way too bad. Funny, I thought it would hurt worse than a Brazilian. LoL I think waxing myself is much more painful than going to a salon too!

I am working on starting over also. I have had to go right back to basics and start just short of mushies. Basically, I have been lazy and not eating slow or taking small bites either. I believe allot of the foods getting stuck are my own fault, if I own up to it. There is a lady on Facebook called "lap band girl" and I clicked like on her a while ago, and kept rolling my eyes at her (maybe for succeeding) but she takes the time to exercise, to weigh in once a week, and constantly she uses the word "ACCOUNTABILITY" . It was driving me up, but I never unlike her. Recently I kept thinking about this. Like when I am stuck-is it the foods fault. Actually I really shouldn't be eating it, and I didn't take a small bite, and I certainly didn't chew correctly. I always really want to be smaller, but I have so much struggle keeping my head in the game too! Good luck! As for high Protein, fish, chicken, Protein drinks (pure protein is excellent) and edameme .... There is a protein and nutrition forum too. :-) Good luck!

I actually aimed for 60 grams of protein and 4 veggies, a couple of fruit a day. That perry much gets you where ya need to be, but I have still never lost very well and always get stuck, no matter how careful. I have found I am more often wearing non dressy clothes, so they do not constrict the band. Another reason Switching to the sleeve would be great, is if I could actually dress nice again.

I just started this week, so we will see. This is a drastic change. I like using the meal replacement drinks, so eating is work. Ha ha! I have to pay attention and not eat too much, but actually eat.... Ugh. I have a tendency to wait and start eating later in the day and then snack, graze all evening. I am readjusting once again. I am sure it will be good, even I figure how to get enough wheat, veggies, protein and stay under in calories

I was banded in 07 at 240. I lost 39 pounds and have flexed 20 up and down since. I am at 219 now and still banded, but looking into the sleeve. Recently I have high iron, low riboflavin, low D, calcium, B6 sodium and potassium. My doctor took soy away, added red meat back into my diet and more carbs(wheat/oats).

Cute 1, I do not lose if I go below 1100 calories a day. It's a viscous cycle! I am comfortable eating 900, but can't lose-my body goes into starvation mode and stores..... I lose at 1200 calories a day, but at that amount I feel hungry all the time and want to eat constantly...... Ugh, I have not found anyone else with this issue. I just recently changed to a new pcp and she is also a nutritionist and going to try to help me with this. How are you doing?

My story is so similar. My numbers have not been so big, I cannot lose fast. I originally was banded to help with weight loss because I have a SCI and cannot exercise to the extent that gets a good cardio going. I don't hate my band, and feel I would have gained so much if I didn't do it. After reading how comfortable the sleeve is, I have been settling uncomfortably for nothing? I have to stand to eat, or get up and move part way through the meal. I also have trouble with some clothes pressing on my port.
