How to celebrate without food & drinks
ItsTime75 replied to ItsTime75's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Thank you ladies, I would love to curl up at home w my man. But we have a 17 & 15 year old that never seem to leave Hahaha. Maybe we can hide in the house and play cribbage. We have always celebrated in some way, and I am sure you can guess, usually we go to dinner. Well that's out time to learn a new normal. My hubby is actually the one that suggested I ask on here. I appreciate the feedback. -
I am sure I'm not the only one struggling with this. I'm 2 weeks post op today. Mine n hubby's 17th wedding anniversary is Saturday. We are struggling to find something special to do. I'm not ready for hiking, biking and other things we're looking forward to trying. Looking for ideas from all you loosers

Good morning everyone, I had RNY on 3/11. I'm shocked by the pain and discomfort I'm still experiencing 10 days later. I was having a hard time getting protein and water in as well. I saw in a previous post that genepro has 30g in each serving. Its spendy, I ordered it from Amazon. Its non flavored, no smell. I have been adding it to broth, its actually pretty good. As for water I'm managing about 48 oz a day. I'm so close to stage 3, I never thought I'd be excited to have scrambled eggs

Good luck! It's painful, I'm going to tell you the true I do pretty well with pain, had my surgeries, from c section to gall bladder removal, tummy tuck and more but I never feel some of discomfort. Only on day 3 maybe that why.

Good to hear from you Foodfighter! I had my surgery a week ago. I was doing great, discharged after 2 nights, got home and 2 hours later spiked a fever....back to the ER. I developed a post op abscess, now I have an open wound that my sister in law comes daily to do a dressing change. That's no fun, but is stable. My life is an experiment these days LOL I don't think I can drink ice cold water, or have popsicles, so sad. Seems just today I get horrible abdominal pain when I drink ice cold water or when I had a popsicle. Thank you for checking back in!

Hello fellow March peeps! I'm scheduled for March 11th. I'm seeing the Dr today for my pre op instructions. I'm so excited to get started on this journey! I'm 5'9" and 297 lbs. The before and after pics and stories keep me excited! What is helping you all get passed the nerves?

Alrighty, things got real today!!! I'm so excited to be on the sugery schedule! Things have gone very fast. I made the decision to go for this new life on January 1st. I was in the enteromedics study with the recharge device. This has recently been fda approved, its a great device and it worked well for me....until there was a glitch and the thing shut off. So technically, I am having a revision.
