I'm a March Sleever! 3/20/15 to be exact!
-
I am! I am March 20th!
-
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Compared to what I read here regarding what some people have to go thru to get approval I also feel that this has been EASY so far, a lot crammed into a short amount of time, yes, but still easy. I had a surgery date on my first consultation (contingent on my completion of pre op testing) and a letter of approval from insurance before I even went for my first test!!
I start my pre op diet next Tuesday and I cant wait. I LOVE all my unjury protiens, my new best friend
Lucky! I had to complete like 3 appointments before I could get a surgery date! Luckily my boss is super flexible and I have been able to adjust my schedule! My pre op diet starts the 6th of March. I have started with cutting out Soda today.. So far so good. I'm a caffine addict so my NUT told me to supplement the Water drink mix w/ caffeine for a week or so, and then ween myself off of that.

Congratulations! I have been nervous and unsure about my decision throughout the pre-surgery process, but the closer it gets, the more positive I am that this is the right choice for me! Happy and healing thoughts to all of you on your journey!
Good Luck! I think I'm 100% comfortable with my choice although it took awhile to get here. Happy thoughts to you

That's awesome! You had an easier process than me!
. My only issue is getting the sleep study in before surgery!

Congrats! You are on your way girl.
I'm waiting for my date, today is the 5th day since paperwork was submitted to insurance.
I think if all goes well, we should be sleeved around the same day.
Let's keep in touch! We can go through this crazy journey together!! I'm so excited for you!

Awesome! I'm hoping for end of March or the first week in April.
I handle life with prayer. I will be praying for you as you start this exciting journey!
Thank you so much for the Prayer's! I will be praying for you also!

Thank you so much! I have been very blessed as this process has went smoothly, and almost to easy. The only think that could possibly delay my surgery is if I can't get my sleep study in on time!
-
You are obsessed! But I am too! I am being sleeved on 3/20/15. Luckily I have so much going on before then, that I can't believe that one month from today I start my pre-op diet! I am moving at the end of this month, so that will keep me busy for awhile!
Good Luck!

3/20/15.
I start my pre-op diet 3/6/15. I am so excited!

I am pre surgery a size 20. My ultimate goal would be a 8/10 post surgery. Any smaller and I wouldn't mind either. I can't even fathom being a size that's not a double digit!

Hey all! So i started my journey in January. My last appointment before I go to insurance approval is Monday! surgery is typically 5-7 weeks after approval which would make me a March sleever! So excited!
Im going to be starting a YouTube vlog to document my journey in just a couple of weeks!
Good luck everyone!

I will! Thanks for the interest!
. I am in the process of moving and going through my pre op appointments so as soon as I'm settled I'm going to start filming!
-
I have a mirena also, and I asked the same question at my inital visit! They Said it should be fine also!
-
Thank you for all the answers. I guess my surgeon likes to things a little different. I will of course follow his protocol, but its nice hearing other peoples experiences.
-
I had my inital consultation yesterday and the PA was going over the post op diet. It seemed a little extreme to me, and from what i've read- most people's aren't like this. Obviously, I will do whatever the MD tells me to do, but I was just curious to if anyone will have a similar post-op diet as I will have.
Post-Op:
Days 1-30: Full liquids
Days 31-60: Purees
Days 61-90: Soft Foods
Days 90-?: Transition into regular foods.

I am a terrible sleeper anyway. But I don't think it's apnea related. I hope it goes well and no cpap is needed!

I had my sleep study weds night. They ended up doing a split study so the 2nd half of the test I had the cpap hooked up. I went to my follow up today and I have severe OSA. I'll get my cpap next week!
Surgery is one month from today!
