  1. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Compared to what I read here regarding what some people have to go thru to get approval I also feel that this has been EASY so far, a lot crammed into a short amount of time, yes, but still easy. I had a surgery date on my first consultation (contingent on my completion of pre op testing) and a letter of approval from insurance before I even went for my first test!!

I start my pre op diet next Tuesday and I cant wait. I LOVE all my unjury protiens, my new best friend :P

Lucky! I had to complete like 3 appointments before I could get a surgery date! Luckily my boss is super flexible and I have been able to adjust my schedule! My pre op diet starts the 6th of March. I have started with cutting out Soda today.. So far so good. I'm a caffine addict so my NUT told me to supplement the Water drink mix w/ caffeine for a week or so, and then ween myself off of that.

  2. Congratulations! I have been nervous and unsure about my decision throughout the pre-surgery process, but the closer it gets, the more positive I am that this is the right choice for me! Happy and healing thoughts to all of you on your journey!

Good Luck! I think I'm 100% comfortable with my choice although it took awhile to get here. Happy thoughts to you

That's awesome! You had an easier process than me! :). My only issue is getting the sleep study in before surgery!

  4. Hey all! So i started my journey in January. My last appointment before I go to insurance approval is Monday! surgery is typically 5-7 weeks after approval which would make me a March sleever! So excited!

Im going to be starting a YouTube vlog to document my journey in just a couple of weeks!

    Good luck everyone!

  5. I had my inital consultation yesterday and the PA was going over the post op diet. It seemed a little extreme to me, and from what i've read- most people's aren't like this. Obviously, I will do whatever the MD tells me to do, but I was just curious to if anyone will have a similar post-op diet as I will have.

    Post-Op:

    Days 1-30: Full liquids

    Days 31-60: Purees

    Days 61-90: Soft Foods

Days 90-?: Transition into regular foods.
