Try to pop in a piece of gum when you have the urge to snack. Or brush your teeth.

My weight loss has slowed down considerably and haven't really lost much in the last 2 months. Starting weight was 295 cw 204. Hair is growing back. I was struggling with water and protien as well but getting lots in now. Feeling really tired lately so I might call my nutritionist about that. Over all, other than the extra skin I have, I'm still very happy with my decision and my results. Still have 24 lbs to go to get to goal.

Perry I had my surgery done last June in Bathurst by dr savoie. Had a great experience and have lots a lot of weight, blood sugars are normal/off meds, and off blood pressure medication! So thankful for this surgery! -
I find if I smile a lot, the saggy skin is gone. So I suppose I look annoyingly happy all the time now? ????

Bright side of it is I've lost 3 lbs in one day! lol. All Fluid I know! Anyhow I started out At 294 and today I am 203 so I've has a fairly quick drop as I've been so freaking strict with my plan. hair loss has finally stopped and growing back now. Lots of loose skin, but hoping with lots of exercise and Water that should help. Over all, my experience has been wonderful and I would do it again in a heart beat. I am off all my blood pressure and diabetes meds so I've accomplished my main goal! Congrats everyone and keep up the good work!!!

Anyone else feel scared they'll gain it back?
allyray replied to Debbieduck4's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am ALWAYS concerned about regain, but this is something I'm really trying to get into my head. Someone told me this years ago and it is still in my head. If you forget to brush your teeth, one day, are you going to stop brushing your teeth forever? Of course not...you'll brush them again the next day. We need to look at our eating in the same way. Good luck, and never stop thinking about it, but don't worry.... -

Miralax vs. Milk of magnesia or others? Help.

Whatever you take, I hope it works soon. I developed hemmroids in the worst way so I have been taking senokot every morning now just to keep things soft. I still don't go everyday, but never go over 2 days. After 2 different occasions of "this", I have learned thst a stool softener/mild laxative is my best friend! Good luck -
I had a little boy in my 4H group ask me if I got a new haircut. Lok

Yes those darn scales are terrible things. If you try not to weigh yourself much, it will help and just follow your plan! I just love this feeling of losing! It will come off!!!!

I'm telling you this.... Our sex life has improved sooo much since I've been losing. I keep asking my husband if it feels different and he says not really but since I feel soo good physically and about myself thst it's a real turn on. Btw, we've been married 19 plus years and 3 boys! We are enjoying each other soo much more right now than we ever have! Hope the same will be for you!!

Should I cancel my surgery? Help!
allyray replied to Nibbler's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I can totally relate to this!! My mother was diagnosed in march of this year with bowel cancer, congestive heart failure, and a host of other things( that were related to her obesity in her 30-40's) so when I got my call for surgery for June 8th, I was sooo torn! Should I do it or put it off until who knows when? Long story short, I went ahead with my surgery, and siblings and hired help took up the slack from me while I was recovering, which was only the 2 weeks and then could do moderate physical activity with no heavy lifting. Now 8weeka out and less weight, it is soooo much easier to care for her as she progresses. I am sooo glad I didn't listen to thst "little voice" thst was teibg me to put it off until later. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and new grandchildren!!!!! -
How do you know if you're full?
allyray replied to nilamji's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Since your stomach is healing and the nerves are still healing, you really need to measure and weigh your food for awhile because your stomach can't tell you on it's own. I remember not having that full feeling until at least 4 weeks when I started eating sold foods (chewed very well I might add) and only them did I know when to stop from how I felt. So just be careful and weigh and measure right now. You don't want to stretch your new tummy!!! -
I'm picturing a "Gordon Ramsey" type voice telling me to "shut my f*#&ing mouth and quit eating"!!

LET'S CELEBRATE TOGETHER....Non- Scale Victories
allyray replied to CherieN's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Nsv... For me, I am back sleeping in our bed together with my husband and we are very much enjoying each other and can sleep the whole night together because I don't snore anymore. Soo happy!! -
Hey. I was sleeved on June 8th here in New Brunswick, Canada. I have had no issues at all with surgery and recovery, and have no issues at all with my Protein intake with the help of the Premier Protein bars and shakes (1 a day) and Water can at times be a struggle, but always close to where I need to be. Having a hard time with all the comments as I have hidden behind my weight so long. I am only weighing myself once a month so I guess today is going to be my second weigh in. I'll post my current weight and stats soon. Glad to have found this thread!!! Go June 8th Sleevers!!!!!!
