Hi, my name is Ethel. I'm from the Philippines. Totally new here but I signed up right away. I'm having lap band sugery on November 30 with my sister. It's a week away but I am not thinking about it much because I'm very busy with school. Maybe in a couple of days it will really start to sink in. Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

1. I want to be able to shop for clothes in the normal, non-plus sized stores. 2. I want to run a marathon, even a mini-marathon. 3. I want to ride a bike again. 4. I want to be a good example to my family. 5. I want to not have diabetes in 2 years. 6. I want to not have high blood pressure or heart problems in 5 years. 7. I want to be able to go on mission trips. 8. I want to go to amusement parks and go on rides without having to nervously ask if there's a weight limit. 9. I want my menstruation to go back to normal. 10. I want to have a family and kids someday, God willing. -
Hi everyone. This past week, my first week with the band has been great. It truly is a blessing from God. While there are still struggles, God is I can feel God giving me the strength to persevere. Sfeiner, I pray that you will be able to get your fill sometime soon. CrynNside, my sister and I had to talk to a psychiatrist before we were cleared for sugery. Prior to that though, we talked a lot in our family about it as well as another person who had gone through the procedure. I pray that you find a surgeon and be able to do the surgery. Eileen, I had my band put in just 2 days before you. I hope you're recovering well. Hollyberries, how is your son? I pray that everything went well with his surgery. Becky, I pray that you are able to have the surgery approved and your health improves. God makes things happen in His time. Don't lose hope. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us. To everyone, thank you for being a constant encouragement. May God meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Chirst Jesus. God bless you all and have a marvelous day!

Hi everyone! My sister and I just got back from the hospital this afternoon. We had our bands put in yesterday. We're still in a little pain but we actually went out to buy provisions today so we got a little walking done. Thank you for all your prayers. Dear God, thank You for the wonderful blessing You have given us. Thank You for this group of Christians who can share in our experiences as we go through this change in our lives. May we continue to glorify You in all that we do.

We seek Your guidance as we go through this journey of getting healthier and in so doing letting Your light shine so that others may see You and Your glory. Thank You for the warm embrace that the people here have shown a new one like me. Be with them always and may You bless and guide them in their individual journeys.

Hi everyone. It is such a blessing to have seen this group of Christian Bandsters. My sister and I are having lap band surgery on November 30th. Please pray for a safe and successful surgery for us. I look forward so much to be able to do more in terms of reaching out to others and sharing God's word and doing God's work if I am healthy. And God willing, my sister and I are on our way to that goal.
