I feel unsupported... Can I do this by myself?
Torilee replied to noorjenna's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi noorjenna I am a week post op today, I am at this stage having Optifast shakes, drinking yogurt, V8 vege juice & jelly. I'm going to start having home made soup today as well. I was in hospital for 5 days to monitor my hydration which is very important. I wasn't a big ice cube fan but I couldn't get enough of ice chips so maybe have a supply of ice chips or crushed ice ready to go. I wish you an easy & speedy recovery, any decision you make to improve your quality of life is the right decision :-) Just know this is a great place for support and we are at your fingertips xxx -

Hi Jackie, from what I understand the bacteria was from my colon. I've been asked to be part of a research group as apparently they have been testing this same bacteria in mice. They take this bacteria from a fat mouse and put it in a skinny mouse and the skinny mouse gets fat. So when I have the op they're going to take a few samples for testing. -

Last year I had an infection after Gall Bladder removal. The results from the infection showed that my body makes a bacteria that basically makes me fat. I made the decision to have the Sleeve and not waste any more of my quality of life.
