It's hard to believe that we are a week out already! Wow . . . and waiting for the mushie food for another week is going to bug me I think . . . my stomach was growling for the first time tonight . . . but . . . seven more days after all the years of "free for all" eating is a small price to pay! Glad you're feeling good . . . I'm back to work tomorrow . . . ughhhh (I could get spoiled staying home I think) .. . or get totally bored staying home . . . I could be out EXERCISING MORE!
Hugs to all! And good luck to all those going in this week! We're waiting for you!

Lets all calm down and play nice . . . there is no need to move to another place . . . and as for the dates on the list not having your name on it, someone updated a very old list . . . my name is no longer on this latest one either . . . You need to feel comfortable say/asking/wondering anything you want to. I go on another side that has a general board and then lapband/rny yadda yadda yadda . . . and OMG the people on the main board that don't agree with you let you know it . . . I stay off there now . . . just go to the lapband area. You are more than welcome here, in my attitude . . . there is so much good information available here . . . it would be a shame to not take advantage of it!

Every doctor seems to do things in different ways . . . both pre-op and post-op. I would follow whatever your doctor says because "we" are not professionals I'm finally able to have creamed Soups starting Monday . . .and my surgery was last Monday. Some people can come home and have Protein Shakes and cottage cheese, etc. Each doctor does their own thing.

Dandydeb . . . the only thing I can suggest is to keep yourself busy while you are waiting . . . I was going nuts the week before . . . so just kept going to do things like shopping . . . cleaning (A BIGGIE FOR ME - I'm not Suzie Homemaker) . . . movies . . .projects for Christmas gifts . . . there is no easy way to get through the waiting . . . but oh my . . .you are getting so close!

I'm 5'6", was 305 at my highest, was banded on Monday 12-3, and am now at 285. I was growing out of 26/28 . . . and obviously have a LONG way to go because I want to end up around 140. I can't wait to have to go to the thrift shop to find some smaller clothes!

Welcome everyone! I love hearing from all the "newbie banders". There are no whimps - this WAS a major thing . . . and everyone feels differently right afterwards .. .but it does get better! I actually slept on my stomach last night for the first time . . . and slept right through (was banded on Monday). Yea! What I'm liking even more is this: I weighted 291 two hours before my surgery, was 297 when I got home (IV's) . . . and this morning am 285!!!! Oh I think I'm LOVING this band!
