Hi all . . .I ended up working almost 11 hours yesterday . . . ughhhh . . . it's the time of year with last minute emergencies . . . so no Water aerobics for me last night. I'm baby sitting at the moment until my DIL gets home from her first interview . . . I don't know if I mentioned she is in remission on her cervical cancer. . . AND they made a mistake in her chart and put someone else's biopsey in it . . . so she found out she does NOT have uterine cancer (which they had just told her she did have) . . . that was one cause for a big celebration this week!
I MIGHT get to cruise to Alaska with my Disneyland friend - she had booked the cruise, but her husband's Altzheimers is getting worse fast, so she isn't sure she can take him . . . so . . . I'll know in about a month what she decides to do .. . can you imagine trying to get clothes for a trip in May? I have NO CLUE what size I would be needing by then lol.
When DIL gets back, I'm heading to the doctor . . .my left arm has been aching . . .but is not killing me . . . woke me up all during the night and I can't get it comfy . . . better get it checked!
Have a good weekend everyone! Sorry I babbled on forever . . .

I wish I could have done this 15 or 20 years ago . . . I'm finally starting to get some decent weight off . . .and my back and knee and hip are starting to be soooo much better. It got to the point that I was walking with a cane last May . . . and it is stuck in my trunk now where it stays. I would do this again even if I didn't lose any more weight that what I have right now . . . and I'm selectively dating . . . and closing in on 58 . . . so it's made my life so much better . . . I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I'd go to HER boss and let them know what is going on . . . that is totally unacceptable. No one should have to work in a hostile environment. And you should tell her boss that too.

I got 1.5cc in a 10cc band . . .he had more in, but I started burping and could feel a rock in my chest, so he backed off. I notice a difference in the morning when I'm eating . . . have to go slow. The rest of the day is the same as it was before. However, my weight had basically stalled before the fill last week . . . and now it is starting to slowly move again. Yea! Good luck!

How about a thread called "Newbie Information - Start Here" . . . with all the descriptions and such

Hi there . . .I didn't have a "test" . . .it was a "chat" . . . and cost me $175 that I wasn't expecting . . . and since my deductible with my insurance is $500 - it was the only thing I had to pay out of pocket. After all was said and done - she also runs the support group meetings - and we found out she is a former bypass client of my doctor too.

Zippit . . . a PB is a productive burp - and basically you throw up what you just ate. Its a very weird sensation before hand - and while I haven't done it, I sure came close the other day.
I had cottage cheese and applesause for breakfast today . . .and again I had to stop after the first bite for a few minutes. Someone said something about first bit syndrome . . . I guess that is what I have going. I don't have time for tea in the morning before I eat - throws my entire schedule off lol. I could wait until I get to work to eat, but then I'm starving. I leave the house at 6:30 . . . but I'm going to have to work something out. The same day I had trouble with the morning omelette, I was able to eat Wendy's chili later in the day with no problem. Just have to work with this morning thing I guess.
Have a good day everyone!

I love the "little plastic food" reference to your NUT . . . really made me laugh! Hang in there!

Sharpei and jljeje . . . go to the "members area" on the top right . . . there is an area there to "edit picture" and "edit signature". To get the ticker, go to Tickerfactory.com and set up whatever design you like . . . but ignore the directions to copy the html link. Copy the actual picture and paste it into your signature. Hope that helps.

Thanks . . . I wasn't having trouble with eggs before the fill . . . but there was lots of melted cheese in the bites I took . . . maybe I need to SLOW DOWN and smaller bites It was just very interesting to say the least. I just ate my Starkist lunch kit with no problems . . . so I'm going to try the hot tea in the morning . . . I just like to eat before dealing with drinking issues. :wink2:

I had my first small fill on Thursday and have had no issues . . .until yesterday morning when I went with my friends to Breakfast . . . and I swear I got the simplist thing . . . and after 3 bites I thought I was going to lose it . . . I maintained, but omg that was NOT fun . . . and this morning eating my cottage cheese and apple sause was a slow process too . . . felt wierd. Guess I have morning restriction . . . and then it clears up later. Such fun new things to experience and learn.

I'm thinking I will start looking like a sharpai (sp?) . . . but that is better than being FAT . . . I guess I would have to find out if my insurance covers PS or not . . .and then decide what to do with it when I get that far.

Thanks Faith! I guess I'm a creature of habits (like eating used to be!) . . . I'll adjust . . .

My family told me my Walmart "stretch" jeans were just to damn big today . . . so I went and bought an 18-20 and looked and them and said no way will they fit .. .and got home and damn they DO FIT! Then I was trying on some old clothes in my drawers - and I can ALMOST fit in some shirts I had after my hysterectomy . . .and that was 14 years ago! (Can you say I'm a pack rat?) They will be fine . . . and will be gone in a few months I hope - and I will give them away this time. I also bought a 3X Chargers Shirt today. I've NEVER been able to wear 3X teeshirts from anywhere . . . and I have room to spare in it! Yea! I would have bought a 2X but there wasn't one to be found in town today. I'm happy!

ok . . .this new format is not my friend either . . . much harder to navigate
-
Have to ask . . . because this is the only thing on my computer that is coming up with huge (well bigger) words . . . and is suddenly laid out differently . . . and is a general PITA at the moment to try to navigate around . . . just wondering if I hit something unintentionally somewhere . . . ? I hope . . .
Thanks

I got my fill! Ok . . .it's a small one . . . he had 3 cc in my 10cc band . . .and backed it off to 1.5cc because I was burping as I was drinking my Water .. .I go back in a month for a possible 2nd fill. He had a hard time finding the port .. . and even made the comment that I might be one of the sonigram people . . . but after changing the needle and starting again (ughhhh) . . .he got it . . . trying to sit up while the stupid needle is stuck in you isn't fun either. Anyway . . . I hope this help and gets things moving in a DOWNWARD fashion! :tt1:

Oh Steph . . . you can do this . . . I know you CAN! I feel the same way right now that I've lost the same amount of weight years before .. .and have never been able to break the point I'm at right now . . . I want to see the scales say something BELOW 273 so badly . . . and at this point it's almost "why did I do this". But then . . . I remember why . . . my knee, my hip, my back . . . and they are starting to feel better . . . so I am hanging in there . . . and you can too! We're here for you and each other . . . it's band wagon time! Jump right back on it! :pray2:

THANK YOU! I am really ready for today . . . and have my fingers crossed . . . the weight hasn't been changing so I think I might actually get the fill this time! I'll let you know later on. :pray2:

At our seminar the B12 issue was more for the RNY patients . . . us Banders were told to take a B12 pill that dissolves in our mouths (forgot the word) once a week. No shots needed.

The B-12 sublingual are round pills that you melt under your tongue or in the side of your cheek for best absorption. I have to take one a week per my doctors instructions. I got them at GNC -just ask. They probably have them in all the pharmacies
