My booklet says 3 weeks -
My surgery was done laparoscopically so no staples here, just dissolvable stitches with steri strips. My Walmart must have been out of the chews, I'll keep my eyes open for them though. I had puréed foods at hospital day I was discharged, I guess everyone's doctor/program is different!

am 8 days post-op, feeling great!! Two shakes a day and 1/4 cup puréed food twice a day as well. Getting my liquids in. Put an app on my phone called Baritastic. Love it!! Can track everything, food, Water, weight. I am down 14lbs since surgery day (April 20th). Getting out and walking quite a bit. Doc appt not until May 15th, should be able to add more things to diet then. Really craving some sort of carb!!! A wheat thin sounds awesome right now!!! Have had no complications so far, no throwing up, etc, hope it stays that way!! Did not like my Calcium citrate in pill form (so damn big, even the petites) so I ordered the Bariatric Advantage Carmel chewable ones, so far loving them!

Well I started my journey last year in July with an informational seminar, I took about a month to do some soul searching to decide if WLS was for me. I had my first appointments at the end of August. I completed all my pre-op NUT appointments February 9th. There has been a little stall with the paperwork and insurance, I normally don't go to the hospital that will be performing the surgery, so they had to request my medical records from my main Doctor (you would think they could of done that in the previous six months! But whatever!!) paperwork was finally submitted to insurance, and on March 13th my insurance told me I was approved over the phone. I'm just now waiting for the doctor to receive the paper approval so I can schedule surgery!! I'm getting very impatient, just wanting to get this started!!! I decided on the roux en y procedure. I know everyone is not the same, but are their any average numbers of pounds lost in first three months??? Well here's hoping to getting my date soon!!!!!
