Due to health issues my Neuro surgeon suggested I have bariatric surgery. I am a 66-year-old woman and was very shocked to hear that Medicare would pay for this surgery. He referred me to Dr Eggl in Lubbock, TX. I had my surgery January 12, 2015 and many of my health issues have disappeared are greatly improved. I wish I had known about this years before. I weighed 309 pounds to start and I now weigh 191. I have 9 pounds to go. I was very afraid to have the surgery because I didn't think I could lose the pre-surgery weight. I had to lose so many pounds before I could have the surgery and I just knew I would not be able to do it, that's why I needed the surgery. I stuck to the plan lost a pretty wait and have done very well after the surgery. What I do it again? In a heartbeat!
