Looking for convenient protein foods
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to Malagal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with all the foods listed above. I found a to-go cup of hummus and pretzels thins helpful. I do eat the pretzel thins (or a few I should say) but use them to scoop a ton of hummus up at a time. I've been doing eggs salad and tuna salad a lot. I found a low calorie, high Protein wrap (9grams) I've been using - I only eat about 1/4 of a wrap, but it is good. Greek yogurt and beef jerky are my current go tos. -
Discouraged-Thyroids suck!
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to unbroken40's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have hypothyroid issues as well. Just got sleeved February of this year. Down 31 lbs since surgery (had a lower BMI than most), 41 lbs total. I still have 25 lbs to go. I feel like my weight loss is getting slowed down. -
Lower BMI Peeps out there please HELP!
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to tiarowley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weighed 190 the day of surgery. I'm 3 months out and weigh 159. My goal is 125 (I'm 5'3). So far - it has been a wonderful decision. -

What are you eating?
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to AnA92212's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm 3 months out. I usually have coffee 1st thing in morning (using cashew milk for creamer) and either a sausage patty (1/2) or Protein shake for breakfast. cheese stick, hummus, or turkey pepperoni has morning snack. Usually egg, chicken, or tuna salad for lunch. Afternoon snack is usually cucumbers, yogurt (I've been weird about yogurt lately), cottage cheese, or maybe 1/4 of banana. dinner varies. Could be Protein Shake, Soup, meat (lunch meat, beef Jerky, fish tilapia, chicken). -
I do the premise premier protein shakes too. I'm 3 months out and usually drink 1 for breakfast.

Dehydration Question
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to missykrissy79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
See if you can change the temperature of your water. I struggle with super iced cold water, but do great with room temperatures. Also consider using a straw (controversial I know). I do best when sipping from a straw. -
I'm in!

drink Soda after surgery?
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to judyoz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've switched to tea as my sweet treat. No soda here. -
How many of you continue the shakes in your diet after many months after surgery?
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to bellabill's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 3 months out and usually drink 1 a day. Maybe 5/7 days a week. -
I used to fit these.

Feeling Heart broken and defeated
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to CFGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'd definitely suggest talking with your surgeon. I was slow BMI starting out (200 pre surgery diet, 190 day of surgery) and am 3 months out and currently weigh 163. It's been slow, but steady. I'm aiming for 125 (I'm short!) so still have some ways to go. How tall are you? Are you following your surgeons plan? -
What ya eating tonight?
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chicken salad with pita crackers. -
Rare for me - but Taco Bell Pintos and Cheese, Wendy's Chili, Zuppas soups.

My husband only knows. I've kept it from all my other family, who I see at least 1x a week, and my co workers. They notice I'm losing weight which they praise. They notice I eat healthy which they think is why I'm losing weight. I've had people say "you aren't eating very much" and I say "trying to lose this weight" and they drop it. So far, no one has suspected a thing. And for not drinking while eating, I always order a Water and sip on it until my food gets there. By that time, 1/2 of it is gone and they don't even notice I'm not drinking it while eating.

What did you eat on the plane trip home?
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to Proud2BMe's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I drank Gatorade and water. I wasn't hungry (and couldn't eat anyway). I did have broth at the hotel before leaving (all 5 tablespoons of it). That was plenty. -
I need to VENT!
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to Aspring424's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm nearly 3 months out and I can tell you it gets a lot better! About month 2 I hit a new norm and generally I feel amazing and forget at times (other than counting protein and watching my water) that I have the sleeve. -
Anyone NOT have gas pains?
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to tnkrrbl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am almost 3 months out and haven't had any pains. -
First week it took me to get back to pre surgery weight. I'm 2 months out and am down 25 lbs since survey and 35 lbs total.

I was sleeved by Dr. Ariel Ortiz 2/19. I've had 2 days of pretty bad nausea. Not wanting to eat at all and some diahrea. Not sure what's causing it. My stomach doesn't hurt but is uncomfortable. I haven't experienced anything like this since surgery. Anyone else experience someone similar?
-
Definitely! Couldn't walk normal for weeks afterwards ... Such a great exercise though
-
Inspiring!!! Thanks for sharing.

I had communion about 2 weeks out. I had the "juice" but not the bread. I took it (we grab some and go back to our chairs) and let my little one eat it (I'm Methodist - children can participate in communion). I was too afraid to try bread so soon.
-
I have a small (1/2 cup usually) of coffee daily. I mixed it with cashew milk. Surgeon approved of it. I started that about 1.5 months out.

for those already sleeved
DroppinLikeItsHot replied to erose321's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm almost 2 months out and feel totally normal minus the smaller portions of food.
