  1. Hi Denisemic! I was starting to feel left out lol Congratulations to you! I was so relieved to get home for Christmas. My 4yo daughter was really having trouble with my not being home. Thats why I was walking so much. Well that and I'm terrified of getting a blood clot. So how are you doing after surgery? I'm finding it much more difficult than I expected to stay hydrated and I don't have a decent protein shake yet. Still trying to find the right one. I'm off to Costco to try the premier.
  2. December 23-29 day one came out of anesthesia yelling out in agony. Slept. About 2 hours after I woke up I began walking. Did at least three laps around the ward per walk, which I did 5X times today, 3 yesterday. Impressing the staff ???? feeling ok but for the painful balloon of gas dead center of my belly. Definitely questioning the surgery. A little regret with the pain. Surgery day December 23rd and the next day went home by 7 p.m. I was feeling great until about 2 a.m. The nurse gave me oxycodone which I had a red alert bracelet saying I had a sensitivity to. She insisted it wasn't exactly the same thing so I took it am feeling terrible. Didn't get it together until day 5. Still don't have the diet down to a science. Discovered day 5 my 40 grams of protein shake alone is about 150 calories more than my daily allowance of 400 calories. Stopped the pain meds on day 4 just down to Tylenol.as soon as they wore of I felt 10X better. Terrible stuff. day 6 took a long walk at six am alone and ended up on the home gym in garage. Kept the weight at 10 lbs. Waking up those sleeping arm muscles fooling around. feel as though I'm experiencing something spiritual. I feel lighter and more positive and just want me and my family to get out of the house and get into the world, see things. Just have fun. So grateful now. The surgery got me to quit smoking after 20 yrs, love water and, umm... Agoraphobic? Not any more! At least, not in the cover of night at 6 am with no one around lol. Have yet to test its hold in the sunshine of the public. Just seeing the world in a more appreciative light. Already feel the mantra I hear again and again in group 'Wish I would have sooner' Just turning 33, have a 2 & 4yo to catch! Off to a great new start ????
